  1. Tell them that if they don't give you the refund, you will take them to court. If they still don't, then do so (moneyclaim.gov.uk). A summons should concentrate their minds.
  2. Original SC2 on front did 29000 (mostly motorway) miles - now replaced with SC5 Original SC2 on rear still have about 5 mm after 32000 miles
  3. 205k in 12 years from new in my Nissan Primera GT, which I then traded in for my Octavia VRS.
  4. Yes, The facelift vrs hatch does have a spare wheel well. I don't think it's big enough for a full-width vrs alloy, but it does hold a standard steel wheel + tyre (which rates as a "spacesaver" on the vrs)
  5. He's told you that he's happy to cheat ebay. Are you really happy to trust him?
  6. If yuo have 16" alloys, the standard 16" spare is full-size. If you have larger alloys, the same spare would be a "space-saver".
  7. It shouldn't matter if the car is set to variable (build code QG1) or fixed (QG2) provided it has the sensor and the instrument cluster knows it's there. Cars built without the sensor (build code QG0) can only be on fixed service. When a car built for variable service (QG1) is switched to fixed service it should be set to option QG2. If it were incorrectly set to QG0, the instrument cluster would think there is no sensor and display dashes.
  8. Are you on fixed or variable servicing? IIRC a car built for fixed servicing does not have the sensor, but one built for variable servicing does. When a car built for variable servicing is switched to fixed there is another option, fixed servicing (with sensor). I suspect that if your car has been switched from variable to fixed servicing, it has been incorrectly switched to the fixed servicing (without sensor) option.
  9. On the basis of this survey there is a good reason to avoid a Z in the number plate. No, I don't believe it can increase the chance of an accident. However, if an insurance company thinks it might, cars with a Z will have higher premiums.
  10. According to SWMBO: "What does a car like that say about a man? - two inches!"
  11. Manual Octavie VRS - Ordered 3rd March - Arrived at Dealer yesterday - Collecting next Saturday
  12. "Yep My cat has been chipped......at the moment he is pretty annoyed about it...so it must be a bit sore......but at least it has taken his mind off the main reason he went to the Vets (he is a bit lighter than he was...ouch) and walking around a bit bow legged.... " Chip and De-Cat ?
  13. I suspect that the radio in your previous car was retuning itself to always pick up the stronger signal. The radio in your new car should be able to do the same. I believe that this might be controled in the RDS functions. Regards, David
