  4. Looking to upgrade my current retrofitted bluetooth modulecradle. I currently have the crappy black foam thing that sits under the seat. I looking to upgrade to the metal bracket and black plastic cover. I need the part number and also I believe that you need a number of nuts and bolts to secure the module to the bracket and then the bracket to the vehicle. Tried searching but there doesn`t appear to any part numbers. Someone must have done this simple mod Thanks in advance !!
  5. Update from technician that they are ordering the replacement parts from SUK ( which are back order) and will replace seat and cover. Should have car back tomorrow ! Will update when I get car back and see what they`ve done.... fingers crossed
  6. Wear to seat look similar to mine ! 2012 VRS on 18k I`m at the dealers in the morning for service and I`ll mention it to the service manager and see what they say !
  7. I`ve also had this fault, which seemed to fix itself ?? Can anyone tell me more about the " service campaign " ?? My vehicle booked in on Moday for service and want a few bits sorting out, the more info I have the better !
  8. ** Listen to Eddie- NL **** he is the expert in this area and I wholly recommend him. He fitted my replacement cluster, MFSW, slip ring and Bluetooth. He also helped me out sourcing the replacement cluster swap to upgrade to MAXIDOT. He will fit on site if you are prepared to travel to him. Eddie-NL- thanks again everything still working great and made such a difference to the overall comfort of the car !
  9. Would I be right in saying that the common fault is the upper drivers bolster (back ) and not the seat ( lower ) ???
  10. I also have an issue with the drivers seat foam collapsing. When you describe the bolster do you mean the side of the seat that would keep your upper body in the seat or the the lower section of the seat which sits next to your thighs. The support next to my right thigh is completely flattened and the leather all creased. Is this the same fault that eveyone esle is having ?? I have my car booked in on Monday for service and I have asked them to look at it as well. Just trying to get as much information as possible on the problems in case they turn around stating .... fair wear and tear ! Any advice would be great !
  11. Really easy to flatten beam, I did mine last year while waiting to board the ferry. Just unscrew the plastic nut, pull the locking level, disconnect the electrical cable and remove the headlight, then insert your finger move the little lever over. Took about 5 mins to do both! There is a really great photographic "how to " somewhere on the site !
  12. I`ll third that !! Eddie has been constantly pestered by me, regarding retrofitting of MAXIDOT, Bluetooth module and soon MFSW. I will hopefully be going over to see him shortly to get all these things sorted, once all my parts arrive. !! Thanks again Ed
  13. I took my module to a family members Yeti with BT, MSFW and MAXIDOT fitted, unplugged his module then plugged my 3C8 module in and looked in MAXIDOT to pair my phone, which it did successfully and then refitted the 3C8 module back into my vehicle without maxidot. My 3C8 module connects to my phone and downloads phonebook and makes calls but its connection is very hit and miss, sometimes when I phone out using the display on the bolero it connects the call, but does not turn down/off the radio or media and I cannot hear the person answering the call. On other occasions it works perfectly. Eddie-NL has been providing lots of help & advice and he will hopefully be shortly helping me retrofit MAXIDOT, MFSW and completing the 3C8 bluetooth and coding so that everything works seamlessly. just waiting for a number of parts to arrive !
  14. Philbes, look at it this way, you have probably been driving a number of years and also driven/owned a number of cars which just goes to show that a VRS is a fantastic vehicle as you have based your choice of vehicle on all your exprience ! Still blow away the youngsters in their Vauxhall corsas, put a smile on your face and go a good few hundred miles between tanks ! VRS - Best value mid sized family car on the market today by a mile !
  15. Eddie-NL, If I took my module to a family members Yeti with BT, MSFW and MAXIDOT fitted, unplugged his module then plugged my module in and looked in MAXIDOT to pair my phone, unplug my module and plug the original YETI module back in, would that cause any problems/faults in the YETI vehilce ?? I can have access to a family members YETI with MAXIDOT but don`t want to cause any problems/faults to get my premium module paried
  16. Now struck with a problem !!! I have the premium kit but no MAXIDOT. Would prefer to have the premium kit installed (as I would like to upgrade bolero to columbus at a later date), but would need to try and get MAXIDOT retrofitted. I am currently having problems trying to get a cluster with MAXIDOT, but Eddie-NL will fit if I can get the right cluster. I am considering the following options now based on Eddie-NL expert advice. Swapping the 3C8 module for a 7P6 Module for standard handsfree bluetooth working with bolero Trying to get the current 3C8 module paired with my current phone using another briskoda members MAXIDOT and then fitting in my vehicle (will have problems at a later date pairing other phones ) and continue looking to get MAXIDOT retrofitted. I am considering just pairing my phone with another MAXIDOT and retrofitting as I dont change my mobile phone very often and could simply go through the process of module swap to a MAXIDOT vehicle on the rare occasion I swap my mobile phone. ( HTC sensation XE). What features would premium module give over standard on a bolero ? ie would you get SMS on bolero or not ???
  17. I recently purchased a brand new 3C8035730C Premium kit, but I don`t have MAXIDOT !!!! I now have to buy another module. I now have the premium module ( rsap/HUV) and GSM antenna for sale if anyones interested !
  18. Eddie-NL I know you retrofit Maxi-dot, how much you it be for you to source parts and fit ?? Would this then solve my problems ???
  19. Anyone please help with this problem ?? I have a 2012 Octavia Estate with a Bolero fitted and factory fitted MDI. I do not have maxidot onboard computer but my vehicle does have the white central display. I have purchased a Premium ( rsap + HUV) bluetooth module (3C8035730C ) and wiring harness, GSM cable and microphone which have all been fitted. Another briskoda member ( Anddenton - thanks again for you time & effort ) has offered to help me code to the vehicle, however he was unable to do this. The Bolero recognizes the module as BT audio is displayed but greyed out in the media section. When you press the phone button it states No user connected. Really frustrating as I thought retrofitting bluetooth was easy other than codeing. A printout of the VCDS scan can be found here, along with other information :- http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/284531-bolero-bt-coding-rejected/#entry3375331 Please help as Im starting to get the feeling i`ve wasted a lot of cash !!!!! Would a premium bluetooth module work better with columbus ???
  20. Eddie-NL I am the briskodian member that Anddenton is trying to assist with the codeing of the bluetooth. The wiring loom I purchased was part of a retrofit package that I bought from car-systems.pl. Unless I`m a complete idiot and I ordered the wrong thing I think the wiring is pretty simple. I plugged the new quadlock onto the main wiring loom behind the bolero and the other end into the back of the bolero. The mic was connected and also the last attachment to the bluetooth module. I admit I have no ideas regarding the codeing thing. When the bluetooth module is connected the "BT-Audio" shows on the bolero but cannot be selected. When I press the phone button the display shows no user connected. I search via my mobile phone and the vehicle bluetooth is not visable. Any other ideas what this could be ????
  21. Did you manage to find someone in Manchester to carry out the codeing. I have fitted the module and wiring loom but controller 77 needs activateing.
  22. Thanks so much for the offer. I can meet you wherever and what ever time it suits you.
  23. I`ve just retro fitted my bluetooth module and wiring loom and microphone after picking my 2012 VRS up from a dealer in bath. I took the module with me when I picked up the car and asked the technician to simply remove the belero headunit connect the module and microphone and code and then remove and I would route all the wiring looms when i got home etc. The so called Technition didn`t have a clue about bluetooth retrofit but said he would activate it for me. Now that I`ve returned home to Manchester and fitted all the wiring and module, guess what its not working ! The belero recognizes that a BT is attached as there is an option for emergency call and BT audio is greyed out in the media section. I guess that its just needs coding ?? Anyone confirm this to be the case ? Is there anyone you would recommend in the Manchester area that can assist ??
