Yes mine creaks slightly and will be lubricating it tomorrow!

Well I finally had my arm rest delivered from the breakers yard and got to work on fitting it. The whole job of swapping out the old and in with the new took all of 30 mins and the wife and I are really happy we ended up getting one. Also fitted some sill covers, new mats and gave the Yeti a good clean while the good old British sun was out.

Is the pre face lift arm rest/centre console identical to the newer model? Thanks
-
Yeah rubber grommets would be the discrete option but I'd probably leave it in as part of the sale. I've emailed a breakers yard who are breaking a 65 plate Yeti SE L and asked them about the availability of the centre console and centre am rest. Will get a response in the next few days hopefully.

This is the centre console in my Yeti. Michael G & RapidPaul are spot on. Like you say; it's whether it's worth ripping the console out and replacing it from a salvaged SE model maybe? Or go down the Superskoda route? If anyone ended up actually doing either of these to their S model I'd be interested to know their findings Thanks again Matt

So I'm really enjoying the new Yeti and can honestly say it's the first car I keep wanting to unlock and have a good browse around every time I walk passed it on the driveway! The only thing it's lacking is the creature comforts I've become used to in previous cars and in the 330Ci which is my daily drive (Yeti being the wife's). We both decided that we need an arm rest for the Yeti so I began sourcing one on the web and the usual results come back with something called the Armster 2. Is that the best offering out there or is it worth enquiring with Skoda? (Not sure if it would involve replacing the centre console or not). Thanks in advance Matt

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah I was looking at either the Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus and found one from a salvaged car which was a 2012 Superb. Do you think it would be a case of swapping them then getting it coded? Thanks again Matt

Hi everyone I've not been active on the forum for a while since selling my old Octavia VRS back in 2011 but as we have a little one on the way, a Yeti seemed like an ideal latest purchase. So today we picked up our face lift 14 plate Yeti 1.2 TSi and we're both very impressed with it! However, the one thing we are intrigued about doing is swapping out the 'swing' stereo unit and fitting an upgraded item. So i'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about which unit to upgrade to and what it might involve. Any thoughts and opinions very welcome. Thanks, Matt

Ah good idea  I'll give it a go this aft.

I've just downloaded the PDF file from the Eibach website and it says they're 5x100/112. I quickly did some rough measurements on the bolt circle itself on the spacers and they seem to match up too, so I'm gonna give them a go tomorrow. Thanks for your help guys Regards, Matt

Ok thanks for the reply I'll go check now Regards, Matt

I've just checked them and they have 10 holes in them. Is it worth me putting them on seeing if they fit ok? Regards, Matt

Hi mate, thanks for quick response! The Ibiza was 5x100 if I remember correctly, so i'm guessing it's a no go. I'll buy some new ones. Many thanks, Matt

Hi everyone I had some 15mm Eibach hubcentric spacers fitted on my '56 Seat Ibiza Cupra and took them off before I sold it and bought my Octavia vRS MK2. My question is, will they fit on the Octavia ok, or do I need to order some specific ones for my model. The spacers I have from the Ibiza are Eibach Pro-spacer S90-2-15-005. The 15mm ones specifically for the Octavia are S90-2-15-013. I'm assuming the wheels might not actually fit onto the spacers possibly? Many thanks in advance, Matt
