  1. Brakes, clutch and fly good?
  2. Hi, Got a problem with an Octavia. ABS and ASR lights are illuminated and after swapping the ABS pump with a Leon it displays the same fault. Here is the VCDS log. Also any ideas on the engine fault?
  3. Mine was on 130,000 and still strong with no slip, totally standard.
  4. I have purchased a cheap KKL cable from ebay but the drivers on the cd do not work, can anyone point me in the direction of ones that will work? Thanks in advance.
  5. Yes, but MAF/EGR problems are also well documented just wondering if I should do anything other than an auto-scan. I spent 3 hours buying my old vRS so rest assured all the usual checks will be done.
  6. I'm going to look at a late 2005 vRS tommorow and I've got a helpful memeber who will be scanning the car with VCDS. Is there anything in particular to watch out for on VCDS? Thanks Ad.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I was planning on viewing it around 11.
  8. Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a 2005 Fabia vRS from Tickhill on Saturday but I would feel more comfortable about buying it if it has been scanned with VCDS. Is there anyone who would be willing to help out for some beer tokens? Thanks Ad.
  9. Even on a 2005/2006? If so, what functions are available from using VCDS lite?
  10. I am considering purchasing a vRS after the sale of my Octy and I'm now kicking myself I didn't pay extra for the HEX+CAN cable instead of the micro-CAN I have. So i'm wondering if the cheap KKL cable works? Linky http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VAGUSB.html Thanks Ad.
  11. Hi guys, Looks like the brakes may be getting done soon, it has done 129K on them though! A few questions, do these Brembo discs http://www.apbrakediscs.co.uk/front-brembo-brake-discs-skoda-octavia-ii-2-0-16v-tdi-rs-06-on.html come with an anti-rust coating like these Pagid ones http://www.carparts4...39736b74 Also, is one a better disc than the other because the Brembo's are suprisingly cheaper. If not, Brembo discs and Pagid pads work out at less than £150 for all 4 corners!
  12. any ideas on the flashing glow plug light?
  13. Well I need to get rid of the glow plug light before I can sell it, so what is the problem?
  14. After returning from London (300 mile round trip) the particulate load went to 0%! But it soon rose again after going to work and back. I have noticed that as long as I dont accelerate above 2500rpm the glow plug light does not come on when cold. When hot the light doesnt come on at all.
  15. The ash mass is currently sitting at 60.54, how convenient! DPF load up to 24% and I'm driving to London in a bit so will be interesting to see if it follows the phases.
  16. scumspawn, where did you find that? Thanks for that info as it puts it all into perspective now. Both times I forced the regen, the DPF load was over 95%! Can forcing it to regen above 95% cause damage, the only thing I was aware of was a possibility of a 'burn down'.
  17. Interesting find, so if when it hits 24% I get the DPF light I'll know grams = %, which is gonna mean £££'s!
  18. Well the reason I ask about the percentages is that both times I have forced regen via VCDS, the particulate filter load was over 115%! The intake manifold fault seems to coincide with the glow plug light flashing (which I only get when the weather is REALLY cold).
  19. Does VCDS display the soot load in grams, as it reads 17% not 17g? Also is there anyway to view the ash content of the DPF?
