  1. Hi all, I've recently had the dreaded fault code come up to do with the v157 intake flap failing, having read through the forum I'm off out to buy the 10a fuse 8 to see if that solves my problem, if not I'm going to have to get the replacement part. For info, 2006 Fabia VRS, BLT engine code. Been to the stealers and they quoted something around 360 for just the part & a specialist independent 400 fitted, having done a little bit of googling I've found it for £246 on eurocarparts (however this doesn't quote original part number and doesn't show blt engine code so I'm sceptical about it being the right part. http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.9_2006/p/car-parts/engine-parts/fuel-and-engine-management/throttle-body-service-kit/?422440260&1&9c64d2e605037eb8a3f8ff40ba523772a07f1ee8&000329 I've also found the below which seems to be more promising (and a fair bit cheaper too), http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/vw-audi-1-9-2-0-anti-shudder-valve-asv-038-128-063-m.html My main question is is there any difference between part numbers 038128063L and 038128063M? I assume it's just an evolution, and will be fine as a replacement. Cheers James
  2. Hi all, first post, be gentle! I've just gone from a stock 02 plate Cooper S to remapped 06 Fabia Vrs (170-ish I think) back in March and I have to say that once out of first gear the Cooper S felt much slower unless it was wound up above 4500 rpm. It's mainly due to the torque obviously, but I'd definitely say the VRS feels much quicker than the Mini did! Obviously corners are a whole different ball game! I do miss the supercharger whine a lot though... But definitely not the 250 miles to a tank!
