  1. did a great njob of rolling the arches on my old passat wagon and sorted out a wobbly mount at the same time no fuss, two very nice chaps!
  2. If anyone else fits these under the number plate you'll need to be carefull as they wont work as intended. They are designed to be fitted at the rearmost point and the edges of the vehicle as the sensors only have a limited field of vision and the readings you get may/will be obscured by the top of your bumper and they will most likely miss obstaces at the edge of the vehicle. There is a vevy good reason all manufacturers fit them as a particular level and a specific pitch (theres also an opmimum height)
  3. Morning Thought i'd say hello, I'm Andy and i live in Bedford This has been long overdue but after Ed (pinkskud) talking about skodas for years i thought it's about time to get one. I'm a car nut that lives in bedford, I work in Car design and am a bit obsessed with my Vdubs... and all VAG cars. Current car is a 56 A3 2 litre turbo (petrol) with DSG, Pearl Red paint, wide gunmetal MK2 TT wheels and S3 bumper and lights, o and i've taken off all the chrome as i dont like it! Thats going for sale after it comes back from its service this weekend as i need a diesel for work and want to build a new garage on the house so car's gotta go! Also Ed and I have been building the Corrado for a while (would have been finished by now if i'd got my arse in gear and odered the parts we need but we havent touched it for a year!) It was my daily 94 VR6 in Black Metallic with black heated leather that i drove for over 2 years bought standard and then i couldnt help myself, Audi 312's, Weittec HIcon GT's, Powflex bushes, 280mm rear brakes, kw front and rear lower strut braces and BBS RC 17's ..... but it wasnt fast enough so we cut and drilled the rear floor panels out, i bought the back fo a Rallye from Blackburn, Haldex Diff mount conversion kit from holland, trailing arms from a mk3 VR6 syncro in Germany and a crashed R32 from my mates boss... the floor is now petty much done thanks to Ed's expert fab skills - couldnt do it without him! - his welding is neater than the factory robots! the thing thats held us up is obsolete parts... at the moment the rear brackets that hold the rear subframe to the car then we can re-assemble the fecking thing as the rest of the parts are sitting in our unit ready to rock and roll! (Will post a few pics over the weekend) So once i've sold the A3 i'll be on the look out for a fabia VRS, will have around £3k to spend so if anyones got a suitable one and your thinking of selling please let me know
  4. do mk4 golf platform brakes fit straight on then? so forgetting the size/offset of the wheels the mk4 R32 brakes i have in the garage should fit a fabia mk1 vrs? (the 334mm ones)
