Are you sure all the recall DQ200 dsg are made in china? vw Taiwan also recall all DQ200 manufacture between 2008-01 to 2011 -06.

According to VW's official explanation, the problem with the seven-speed DSG gearboxes was due to sulfur in the gearbox's transmission fluid and iodine-based inorganic head stabilizers in its plastic components damaging its metal parts, leading to corrosion of internal electronics. This corrosion, which may be further worsened by humid climate conditions, ultimately caused some gearboxes' electronic control units to malfunction and short circuit. The technician test drive for around 100 miles after the work. I did check the oil before I left the garage and it was full.

Check oil level on my 900 miles new engine today @ 87°c when stopped After 10 mins middle of zone B after 30 mins top of zone B

Skoda customer told me engine number removal & re-stamp but nothing about reconditions engine. So far not using much oil in 800 miles.
