  1. Hi All, my 2011 Yeti has developed a fault where there in no power to the rear nearside door - lock and window. And, every time the car now goes over 10mph the the anti-hijack auto lock kicks in, it is constantly doing it when in slow moving traffic. Anybody got any ideas before I take it to the garage. Iโ€™ll be annoyed if it is a loom issue as I had both front door looms changed several years ago ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Sandy
  2. Hi, the oil change was in the hope to solve the issue - it had no effect ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I will follow up on your suggestions - perhaps the pump?
  3. Hi, thanks for that. The oil change was in the hope to solve the issue - it had no effect ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  5. I have a 2011 110hp diesel 4wd Yeti. Recently when towing a weighted 14โ€™ trailer I have noticed the oil temp go up to 110/112 degrees and on a couple of occasions the โ€˜oil pressure lowโ€™ warning comes on. Bizarrely the water temp never goes above 90 degrees at all. Iโ€™ve had an oil change and according to the garage โ€˜pressuresโ€™ are fine - does anybody have an idea why this is starting to happen when previously Iโ€™ve. Ever had an issue? I donโ€™t know if this is a red herring but every now and again (not regularly) if Iโ€™ve idled at a junction I get puffs of smoke come out the exhaust cheers ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  6. Took a look under the passenger side 'rubber boot', two broken wires and two about to go. My son took it upon himself to do the repairs and I now have fully functional Windows and central locking Thank you and to all those who took the time to respond - it has no doubt saved me a hefty garage bill which I can do without at the moment - well chuffed - stay safe
  7. Thanks for the info - I will check them tomorrow when I get back to the car (left it at my son's for security)
  8. I'll take a look - 'in the boot between the door and door pillar', could you just narrow that down for me please so I don't start pulling apart the wrong place
  9. Help! I have a 61 reg Yeti and the left front/rear electric windows have stopped working (both stuck at about 4" open). The central locking also appears to have stopped working on the left side for both doors! Pressing and holding the remote lock/open button no longer automatically operates any of the windows. Tried resetting the windows - did not work. Anybody got any ideas please?
  10. Cheers, that rings a bell in the back of my mind - dunno how I'd make sure they flush it out but I'll mention it thanks
  11. It's ages since I've been on here"! I have a very quick question. I have just got my car back from my son (I lent him my car almost 6 months ago!), anyway I was driving it home tonight and every time I turned off the interior light the dash lights dimmed. When I turned on the interior lights the dash brightened up again. How do I make the dash stay on full brightness all the time? And to put icing on the cake my car has to go in next week to get the compressor replaced (under warranty) - don't you just love kids!
  12. Just watching 'Inside RAF Brize Norton' and a Skoda Yeti appeared going across the airfield with safety vehicle livery on it - we've gone all Military : )
  13. Yep, it was the cause of the problems - I would've been better with pin nose pliers
  14. Glad I read this thread - put my Winter's on Saturday afternoon, read the posts about directional tyres, checked the wheels and the front ones were on the wrong way round!!! Had to go out at 7:30 this morning (Sunday) to change them round cos my son is borrowing the car for the next coupla weeks (probably a lot longer!) Changing the wheels was a piece of cake but what a pain taking those plastic wheel nut covers off!
  15. G, you had to spoil it! You couldn't even let me believe we'll have some weather where I can really see what the Yeti can do - I was really getting excited about all the snow and now all I have to look forward to is more rain!! GUTTED!
  16. I've got Vreds, went up a place called Hard Knott pass just after a fresh fall of snow last year - I was well impressed. Lived in Germany when I was younger for 13 years and never bothered with Winter tyres, boy they would've made a difference! And with the weather forecasters saying that we're going to have the worst November for decades I think my Winters will definitely be going on before the end of the month for my trip to show my Grandson the Blackpool Illuminations. : )
  17. Got it fitted - the hint to stand on the rear wheel was good but I still struggled to reach and tighten the front offside internal fittings in the roof box. It's definitely big enough for what I want but the aerial needs to be removed while the roof box is in situ.
  18. Towequipe seem to be the cheapest ~ will order them (maybe) if the ones that come with the roof box argn't up to much. Collecting the roof box Saturday morning..........
  19. Cheers, I'll check out Halfords and see if they've got them
  20. Got the bars and footings - took me a while to suss it out........ Weasley ~ what T-Track system did you get to fit the 969 bars?
  21. Grew up in Heaton, lived at Seahouses at weekends, we almost got caught on the Causeway once, and still think Lindesfarne's one of the all time.great groups.
  22. Lady Elanore, your title ~ is that Lindisfarne as in the group, or Lindisfarne just across from Seahouses & Bamburgh?
