  1. Thank the lord for Briskoda. I'd have broken the key before I got into it if I'd just followed the manual.
  2. You shouldn't lose your online destinations from the car. However, beware if your deleting your whole account. This fault happened to me again so I tried the same solution. I accidentally deleted my account but then had lots of problems getting it back. The system let me re-register after about 20 mins but wouldn't let me add the car until an hour later. Then I got an email the next day saying my account had been deleted as requested. They'd re-deleted it. Then I couldn't register as the system said my address was already registered, and I couldn't log in either. It took a call to skoda to sort it out. I suspect the double deletion is part of Skoda's response to GDPR and the right to be forgotten.
  3. Thanks rtj70, for the technical explanation to why it worked when I reset connect. Sounds spot on to me.
  4. Oh no! That's rough. Didn't you get given a lemon of an O3 as well?
  5. Hi everyone I've had a problem with skoda connect recently which I've managed to fix (I hope), so I thought I'd note it here. Every time I selected skoda connect in the menu it popped up with "Error: Skoda Connect". Eventually I deleted my registered user in the infotainment settings, and then reactivated it via my connect app on my phone. It took a while to delete and reconnect but it seems to be working now. Has anyone else had this issue?
  6. Another shortage of seats? Seems I was quite lucky! It'll be worth the wait though, don't worry!
  7. Mine was built w/c 28th August, arrived at the dealer's last week, and I am taking delivery tomorrow. However it can be quicker or slower as it depends a lot on transport availability.
  8. Thanks everyone. Glad it was just me being dim. I guess I'll find out how easy it is shortly as my bear is due to arrive tomorrow. As Borat would say, "very excite"!
  9. OK seems I might be confused here by what I've read... I'm now being told I can do it all myself without dealer involvement! If only test drives worked that way... Can anyone confirm to save my addled brain?
  10. Hi all Can I pick the collective hive mind? I'm due to take delivery of my new Kodiaq next week. It's on a PCH lease. The lease company have passed on a message from the dealer saying that they can only set up Skoda Connect if I go to collect. That's not necessarily that convenient as they're nowhere near me, so I've asked what the alternatives are. Do you think a local dealer would be willing and able to set this up for me instead? I'm actually going to a local dealer tomorrow for my Octy's service so I shall ask them but I thought it would be handy to see if any of you other PCH-ers had a similar experience? Cheers
  11. I had an issue like this with my first Skoda, a Fabia back in 2011. It turned out to be caused by a faulty sensor that was reporting that the bonnet was open. It's probably worth getting a dealer to look at it if the problem persists.
  12. Now had confirmation that my car was build last week and is at the factory. So that's 6 weeks from order to build. I'm expecting to take delivery in about a month, so around 11 weeks all together. For context, my Octy GL3 took about 13 weeks in 2014, and my Fabia GL2 took about 10 weeks back in 2011. So I'll be pretty chuffed if my Kodiaq takes 11. I was expecting more. Now I just need to work out what to do with my Octy!
  13. I've seen 3 (apart from at the dealer's), and the most recent was yesterday at Bedgebury Pinetum. It had a big ding in the rear! Ouch. Sorry if that's anyone on here!
  14. Thanks bigboss. I know that probably seemed a dumb question, but I've always had them fitted before I take ownership.
  15. I've been thinking of ordering mats from super skoda. Are they easy to fit? In the picture they look like the fixed type, rather than simply grip based.
  16. Might be worth having a read through this: There's a bit of off topic squabbling in there but some useful comments. I thought so, anyway. I've gone for the 1.4TSI and, based on my test drive, I think it will be perfectly adequate for my needs. I guess I'll find out when mine arrives. Expecting delivery in October, as it's due to be built next week.
  17. I test drove the 1.4tsi (150) with a manual gearbox and was impressed. OK, it wss only me and the dealer in the car but it had a lot of kick when accelerating. But then I'm used to the 1.6TDI (110) in my Octy GL3 so anything would have more kick than that. I don't tend to need a lot of power and I don't do the mileage for diesel, so I've made the switch. It'll be my first petrol car for about 10 years. I've gone for it with DSG for a more relaxed driving experience, with the optional paddles for when I want to take over the gears.
  18. Finally took the plunge and joined the queue. I ordered yesterday, for a delivery in October(ish). I went for the 1.4 (150) Petrol engine, my first petrol car for about 10 years but probably much more suitable for my purposes. I test drove the manual version and was impressed by how much kick it had. I've gone for DSG for my order. Ordered in edition spec with a couple of optional extras. Let's see how the Skoda lottery treats me. Can't wait to get behind the wheel, anyway!
  19. Thanks everyone, that does make sense. Very close to joining the order queue now!
  20. Thanks for this, it's a really useful thread. I've been trying to work out from the options if there's a way to have in-car WiFi without paying skoda for the service, and it seems there are two! Either share my phone's data or buy a sim (if I have columbus)
  21. Thanks Gizmo. Any idea what this option might be about? Perhaps a glitch on car wow.
  22. Hi Briskodans. My Octavia is coming to the end of its PCP deal in a few months and I'm seriously considering the Kodiaq as a replacement. I've been playing with the configurator trying to work out spec, and also had a look at the CarWow options list. CarWow has an option called "split folding rear seats" but I can't find an equivalent on the skoda configurator. Can anyone confirm what this is? Does it refer to the 2nd row or the 3rd row? Basically, I am trying to work out of the 3rd row can, as standard, be operated separately as having just one of them up would be my main layout, most of the time.
