Just taken delivery of an Octavia VRS estate. So far so good, but I need a 10 year old that's used to playing games on his/her computer to show me how to work the infotainment system. My BIG problem is lane assist which sounds like a good idea, but while driving home for the first time it must have detected a car parked on the pavement and tried to turn me into oncoming traffic. The handbook (downloaded from the internet) tells me that I can turn it off but that only lasts until the next time the car is started. Does anyone know if its possible to turn it off permanently? Safety features are a good idea, but I want to choose when to use them, and I want to drive the car....not a computer. HELP!!! Scott
