  1. New orders for Superb. Can anybody give a frough ideal of delays for Superb estates. Odered new vehicle on 5 Nov 21 and as yet no build week allocated. Any updates? a
  2. Considering superb estate SE L however getting confused with various optons. Can I ask if the follwing is standard on this model: 1. Privacy glass 2. Electricaly operated fron seat. 3. Sat nav 8' or larger All these items are standard on my present vehicle so would expect them on the SE L version Ray Bower
  3. Read on Auto express that the superb is due a facelift mid 2019. Anybody know when? Just ordered factory built superb. No build week yet.
  4. HI, After many conversations with Customer Services the new DSG box warranty could not be extended. However because of the breakdown circumstances they have offered (and I accepted) a free next service. I must say that the new box appears to be a lot smoother. Must have been a breakdown waiting to happen. I look forward to next outing with caravan and the factory fitted tow bar.
  5. Terry. Kept jumping out of gear and loud noises from all gears. Oil drained which came out black and silver ie knackered.
  6. The time arrived for my first outing with new superb factory fitted towbar. Towing a Swift major 4 SB. Disaster 60 miles after a very good tow the DSG box failed. After being towing off motorway and back to dealers 3 weeks later replacement box authorised, supplied by factory, and fitted by Skoda "Telfords" Carlisle. My question which I have asked customer services is could the warranty be extended on car/box. Failure of DSG happened 16 months into 3 year warranty. Anybody suffered similar failure? Do you think it was reasonable asking for warranty extension?
  7. Finally the day arrived and the 1.2 Fabia Elegence TSI DSG Estate was collected from dealer. Ordered on 16 Dec 11 so you see it was some wait. SUK kept me informed once I asked for a case reference to be raised. Now await the compensation from SUK which seemingly will be authorised after dealer imputs details. What was very pleasing is that original deal was honoured by dealer. Faith restored again in Skoda's. Ray
  8. But there is always ways and means behind to 10 day ruleing. Currently my car is with dealer but because of fact I am out of country on holiday and will not return until 31 Aug the vehicle will be registered from 1 Sept. The fact that I have also waited over nine months from order also has a bearing in the matter. I remain a happy SKODA customer after this long wait. Ray
  9. Hi, Yes as with all delays it is necessary to open a case with SUK who authorise compensation depending on length of delay. A mere £300 in whatever way (vouchers or accessories) if the delay is over 30 weeks I believe. I will soon find out. SUK are good at keeping you up to date but dealers - well depend on who it is. I expect they will revisit my partex price although it is a grey area as they took the order after I believe they were notified of DSG delays. So who is to blame?? I was notified on order form it would be March delivery. Long wait almost over. Ray
  10. Hi, Ordered on 16 Dec 11 a Fabia Estate 1.2 TSI Elegence DSG only just been built and currently being shipped (week 30 build). Delay was due (so they say) to lack of DSG. So depending what you order you could have long delay. Ray
  11. Finally some light at the end of long wait. Skoda UK confirm that Week 30 is a confirmed build week. Therefore all going well it should be here back end of August. Considering the order went in 16 Dec 11 it is finally over. Now the battle remains with the dealer as regards p/ex offered in Dec for March delivery. As the wait has been over 35 weeks I reckon the compensation in whatever (M&S vouchers or accessories) will be at the maximum and I assume will be up to £300. Not unless that has also gone up in the last year. Any members got recent info on compensation? Ray
  12. As an update to this topic I was advised by Skoda UK that my Fabia Estate 1.2 TSI DSG Elegence ordered on 11 Dec 11 now has a build week of 30. Keeps getting later but if it remains at 30 that will suit me. Sept registration. Next update due on 4 Jul so I am not holding my breath. Still do not fully understand how orders placed after 16 Dec can be met months before then. Ray
  13. This is where I get really confused with Skoda as having ordered more or less the same as Smagoo only it was placed on 16 Dec 11 and I have only recently being given Week 28 by my dealer. The tracking website does not even have this info. I expect Skoda Customer Services on their next call on 6 June will have something different. They did hint to various delays that could be caused by dealers holding back orders to fill quoto's etc. In the meantime I have enlisted "What Car" help to highlight this sorry saga. Will update as I get it. Ray
  14. Hi, As a further update to my saga on delay order. Today I was informed by my dealer that I have now been allocated build week of 28 which is begining of July (having ordered Dec 11). I am not holding my breath and will wait to see what Skoda UK CS tell me on there next call on 6 June. Seemingly dealer states that factory allocated 10 which does not become confirmed until allocated 20.!!! Confusing or what. Anybody got further build dates? Ray
  15. Hi, As an update to this topic I have to-day been informed by Skoda Customer Services that no build date (week) will be allocated until after end of May due to "New model year" starting then. Does any member know of changes to this model? or is it just as they say probably only cosmetic changes. It is looking more likely that it will be Sep before I receive. At least that will give the new plate which I will wait for. Are there many members caught up in this delay? Ray
