  1. I'd be interested for sure. I let my Citigo sport go in 2016, but have just bought a 17 plate Monte Carlo for my niece and forgotten just how much fun it was to drive. Would definitely read your thread.
  2. Just noticed this. Car's been driven about 10 miles since this has been happening, Don't feel any difference in brake performance, action etc. Any ideas? This is on a Mk4 Megane RS btw
  3. The sound actuator DOESN'T pipe through the speakers. That is an error. It isn't synthetic in the sense it is simulated like you get in some Fords.
  4. I'm not disagreeing with you, just being cynical. I do think there's an element of "emperor's new clothes" in the Canton system as £600 seems a hell of a lot of money when the standard system is pretty good as it is. Maybe someone has a link to a proper, rigorous comparison of the two systems - a serious hifi test - otherwise there seems a lot of smoke and mirrors when it comes to branded OEM ICE upgrades,
  5. I would suggest the components cost less than £60 let alone £600. Remember that article that took a set of $$$ Beats headphones apart for a total component cost of $14.
  6. Nice one. Let's have a few more pictures. Debadged look suits the car. Having said that I like my car saying "SUPERB" because that's what it is!
  7. My is a 150 Sportline hatch. 150 is plenty for most needs - loads of low down grunt. Runs out of puff above 70, but this is no hot hatch anyway, mostly just enjoying the glances you get with such an exclusive car (have yet to see another Sportline on the road).
  8. My lovely new winged arrow arrived today. Absolutely over the moon. As soon as the trailer turned up I knew business grey was the right choice. It's really hard for it not to have a blueish tint in photos which it really doesn't have in the metal, but I've played with the white balance of the pictures to try and present as is. Enjoy. Sportline TDI150 all standard other than spare wheel.
  9. Nice send off sir. GTE looks nice, you certainly seeing a few more of these on the roads these days, and the DRLs on them are very distinctive. Happy trails...
  10. UPDATE : Dealer advised car is at dealers - trailered delivery to home address this Friday. Whoop.
  11. I suspect that I'm due another phone call soon advising the Fabia vRS has sadly been discontinued.
  12. I had something similar a couple of years ago with my WHITE Citigo Sport. Turned out that my reg was wrongly interpreted from an eye witness to an incident (the car involved was actually a BLACK Fiat Punto over 100 miles away. This didn't stop the police and insurers sending me letter after letter for several months.
  13. I ordered a Fabia vRS back in 2011 and my build date also tripped over MY changes and price increases. I just got a happy call from the deal advising I was going to get the new updates on my car. No mention of extra cost.
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong (I haven't got my car yet), but am I right in saying there is actually a skoda logo on the umbrella handle as per picture. Although I assume what you're saying is there is no branding on the umbrella canopy itself.
  15. I don't get how the R Line model gets the funky new twin tailpipe exhausts and the GTI gets the old-fashioned pair.
  16. The leasing outlet I used went above and beyond in hunting down an unallocated car in my desired model and colour (2.0 TDI Sportline in Business Grey) already built and en route to the UK. If I'd have started choosing factory options then I would have to have waited the full 12 weeks or so. I'll have to live with no front sensors or heated screen, which would've been all I'd have chosen on top of what really is a pretty well-specced car. I do get the spare wheel though, which is nice. As I've said in another thread, I really didn't want the new buttonless sat nav so am happy for that reason also.
  17. Order placed on Wednesday. Should take delivery first week of July.
  18. I know that an increasing number of manufacturers / dealers are offering PCH themselves, but I have only only had excellent experiences since foregoing dealers and using the Lease route. In my experience (three vehicles now), I have replaced slimey salesmen with people who don't look out for the interests of a single brand but help you look at all options available and (my favourite plus point) no sneaky upselling of GAP insurance and bloody Lifeshine products. They just set the deal up, take their fee and job done. The price savings over dealers are just incredible, especially if you're not too fussed on a particular brand and catch a model just before a facelift etc. Some amazing deals to be had.
  19. Thanks Malcster. Yes, the emergency locksmith guy who called round mentioned the door bongers being a good thing. We are looking at very security upgrades to go with our decorating programme (just been in the new house less than a year). In other news, I have just ordered a new Superb Sportline, so will be around Briskoda for some time to come.
  20. Placed order yesterday - should be ready for approx 3-4 weeks. I originally was looking at an Octy 2.0 TDI SE-L Estate but then soon saw the Superb as a logical upscale move for actually very similar lease money. Then I saw the Sportline, lusting after many pictures on here and it was like a dream come true. Since my previous vehicle was stolen (after they burgled my house) a few weeks ago I've had a 1.6 TDI Greenline Octy hire car and the lowdown torque even from that seems fairly impressive enough to spice up the few roundabouts on my daily commute (benefitting from a 5.30am start). Whilst I am envious of the many 280s on here, I'm happy that I'll be satisfied with the 150 diesel. I was umming and ahhing wheher to place a full factory order as front sensors and the heated screen would've been on the list, but really needed a vehicle as soon as possible due to the theft. Then I was swayed by really NOT wanting the new "fingerprint magnet" satnav in the MY18 cars so went for one already on the train. I tried a couple of lease vendors but all seemed to (inevitably) rely on the same pool of cars and could only find my desired spec of 2.0 TDI Sportline in Brilliant Silver (There seems to be one knocking about that no-one wants). However, one lease company went above and beyond and after trawling dealer after dealer found me an unallocated car in my first choice colour of Business Grey. Seeing the picture a couple of pages back in this thread convinced me I've made the right choice. This will be my third Skoda (Fabia vRS Mk2, then Citigo Sport) so looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a winged arrow after slumming it in a VW for the last couple of years.
  21. Bear in mind that, even though a VT doesn't go as a black mark on your credit record, it is flagged/mentioned and can be used by credit vendors as a measure of your intentions with regards to paying back loans. Wise not to abuse it as a regular get out clause.
  22. I would ordinarily always choose petrol over diesel, but have limited options as I cannot wait for a factory order having had my own vehicle stolen last week. Having looked at leasing options, the TSI is cheaper on the equivalent Octy, whilst the reverse is true on the Superb.
