So with my boss being away on holiday and a spare ramp at work I took the time to do some work n the vrs . New oil pump strainer New rocker cover gasket as it was leaking oil into number one coil Knackered water pump New water pump New drive belt tensioner and belt Full set off dealer discs and pads Freshen up the brake calliper paint Oh I replaced the Ac compressor with a second hand one so I messed bout with the pic lol What I am driving till I am finished lol What I have left to do. Fit tow bar Fit cruise control Refit carpet after I sealed the water leak in bulkhead Balance wheels And that's it back upto spec

Take your wipers off and scuttle panel trim If ur standing infornt of the car on the left hand side there is a black panned held on with 2 ten mm nuts Take it off n that let's u into the car make sure u seal the wires well as this area is bad for water leaks Steven

Mine failed around the seal in bulk head wiring had to strip out whole interior to get the deafening under carpet dry :/

See I dident know as the BMW I moted today had projectors with aftermarket hid lights

Well that's defo a fail but can u not get hid kits that project the correct pattern ?

I checked the mot book today the rules say if washers and self levelling are fitted they have to function it doesn't mention in reason for rejection columb hid lights fitted with out washers etc is a reason to fail So as a mot tester I would pass and advise if i saw a kit with no washers etc http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_170.htm. Yeah it does that I just don't want it to do it lol I am going to order the pick up n see if it cures it , I need to do the Cambelt anyway pluse number one seal is leaking into the coil pack so I want to do it all at once had striipin jobs twice

Me personally when I put my vrs on the ramps at work I put them on the sills at the front never had any probs

In really cold mornings the vrs rattles for a second At first I suspected the alternator pully clutch but today I started it and listened whilst under bonnet Noise is comming from under cam cover sounds like the chain rattling when cold :( Is this common ? I change the oil every 3-4 k I was wondering could this be the oil pump not giving enough pressure to chain tensioner so was going to just order new oil pump Cambelt kit , water pump and do the chain in head whilst I am in there

It was worth me doing as my air pump was split at rivets and it's pointless after u decat cause it's purpose it to aid it the heating of the cat , just got shark to map mine out so the light won't come on rates than using a resistor

Lol i bonded on the lid from a forte engine flush

3 pipes the two reducers and the pipe to mount the pressure sensor from forge

Yeah it fitted dident take too much hassle even have my bumper brace still on as well just fed the turbo pipes thru it took me a morning to do
