  1. Hi, I had my 2014 Skoda fabia 105bhp serviced at the beginning of May, and this software update was applied at the same time. After getting the car back, the gear change was erratic, banging in to gear and kept dropping in to 1st gear when it wasn't appropriate. Car went back in for a fortnight, and the (excuse my ignorance) mecatronic controller was diagnosed as being at fault, got the car back last Wednesday and again on Friday the fault reoccurred. Car back in the garage until further notice, and waiting on "the factory" for advice. I'm with a hire car now again. There was absolutely no issue with the gearbox prior to this, people used to comment how smooth it was..... Alan
  2. Hi all... I'm just looking for a bit of information if anyone has it. I'm sick and tired of the PID (Navigon unit) in my car, people can hardly hear me, and I can't hear them very well. I've always had a Parrot handsfree kit hardwired in to my previous cars, and I'm thinking of doing the same. Does anyone know whether the standard radio that comes in the citigo has the usual ISO connectors on the back? If it does it'll just be a matter of plug'n'play for me really. Thanks in advance Joe
  3. Oh, I'm Sorry! This happened to me a month ago, except I needed the body coloured surround, the black surround that surrounds the mirror and the mirror glass itself. Total cost from Watford Skoda was £137 inc. Ouch! Strange thing was though, I've got a Citigo Sport, and the parts department first of all told me "that since you've customised the car yourself by applying coloured stickers that they would only supply the body coloured mirror surround". I showed him the brochure with the sport model in, and he had no idea! Been waiting since for the stripes that go on the mirror since they're on back order. Anyway - easy enough to fit yourself in five minutes.
  4. Thanks Stooz - I really wanted the Garmin model so I'll keep quiet about that ;-). Thanks Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk now Free
  5. An update! Spoke to the dealer this morning and no question asked he's ordered me a new PID which will be the garmin unit... Said it should be in in a few days! I'm very pleased! :-) Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk now Free
  6. Yeah - my thoughts exactly... But - with it expiring some ten weeks before the car was even registered I'll take it up with the dealer. Even If it was registered when the car was, shouldn't that take me through to July 2015? It is two years worth of map updates isn't it? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk now Free
  7. Oh, forgot to say, the maps on the device are showing as Europe Version Q4 2011 Joe
  8. Morning :-) So I collected my ex-demo Citigo on Friday, and am loving the car. I have a question though about the PID. I downloaded Fresh from the web, so that I could update the maps and purchase speed camera warnings, etc. When I went to update the maps I got the following text screen: ****************************************************************************************** No Latest Maps Guarantee (FS223) The latest map guarantee for the connected device expired on 2013-04-21 You still have the possibility for buy a fresh maps subscription for 2 years of updates. ****************************************************************************************** This expired before my car was registered, and the device is a Navigon device. Is it feasible that the dealer has swapped the PID that comes with the Sport for one that was hanging around in the dealership? Do you reckon I'd be able to get either the one that came with my vehicle, as it was registered on the 6th July 2013 or a new one? Thanks in advance Joe
  9. Excellent! Thanks for the info guys Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk now Free
  10. Hi - I collect my Citigo Sport on Friday, which comes with the PID. I'm just wondering what countries the PID covers navigationwise.... Or if it's just UK and Ireland. I go to France relatively often and am wondering whether I'll need to pay for european maps... Thanks in advance Joe
  11. Hey - just arrived back from a week in Cologne in my Yeti Urban. Was very pleased with everything, and the car performed brilliantly. I had snow tyres fitted, and snow chains in the boot - and there was a fair bit of snow around, temperatures around -12 degrees. five people, luggage, presents and wine all fitted in nicely! Very pleased
  12. Saw a lady and got a wave in a silver yeti yesterday in Harefield village centre - little busy two way road so couldn't get the model - lol
  13. Hi - yep - I've got the urban TDI - Amundsen + with DAB - sd card slot - and yes - I've created playlists on the SD card - works a treat. Can also stream Bluetooth music from my iPhone / iPad
  14. Yeah - I've come to just press the Siri button myself on the phone, ideally though I'd like to just pop it in the glove box and not worry about it.... Maybe blaupunkt will give us a software update to do this from the Amundsen.... Thanks Joe
  15. Hey all. - I recently collected my urban - which I'm loving - but it's difficult to know what options I should have - my handbook shows every possible option, which I obviously don't have. Should I have folding mirrors? If I have - I don't know how they work..... Thanks Joe
  16. Hi - I have searched - I promise! I've recently got my new Skoda Urban 2.0tdi, and it has the Amundsen Plus Sat Nav system built in. Is it possible to use Siri for voice control through my iPhone, when I press the voice control button on the built in Amundsen - if so - how do I switch to using Siri through Bluetooth instead of the built in one.... I hope this makes sense.... Thanks Joe
  17. Hey - new Yeti owner too.. Member name: joe1973 Engine: 2.0 TDI 110bhp Model: Urban Colour: steel grey Location: Watford,Herts
  18. We've got a load in Watford, all liveried up with NHS logos and Doctor On Call, green lights on the top! They look great!
  19. Hi Tristar - yes - DAB is installed and works very well.... And also the sat nav does have seven digit postcodes.... Loving the Yeti - just want MDI fitted now ... Joe
  20. Oops - just seen the "MDI Retrofit" postings below - sorry Double post!
  21. Morning all... Having spoken to my dealer, I'm disappointed that I cannot get an MDI installed "officially" on my Skoda Yeti Urban 2.0TDI - so have been having a hunt around.... I've seen that I can buy an official MDI for my Amundsen plus navigation system, and am thinking about doing this.... My problem though is that I don't have access to the VAG system to update the settings - would anyone know where I can get this done? Thanks in advance Joe
  22. Got my Yeti Urban 2ltr Diesel yesterday, and all I can say is wow! I'm loving it...... Everything about it! Only one thing though - any idea if I can get the music to either drop in volume or mute when the Sat Nav is giving audible instructions? It's the Amundsen + inbuilt sat nav Joe
  23. Hi - exactly what I was looking for - thanks
  24. LOL - I meant - how do you find the sat nav - I'm a bit of a tom-tom man - but really love the idea of having it all integrated. Are there any guides around for the Sat Nav, mine comes with DAB too.... Thanks Joe
