  1. SO SOLD View Advert No longer available Advertiser Mounty Date 26/10/21 Price Category Cars for Sale
  2. Cheers pal. I use Tesco 99 Ron and have done since owning it, so hopefully it's okay! I've also purchased a Pipercross panel filter and cut out part of the air inlet panel (right side) in front of the air box. I've left the left side open for now, but believe a blanking plate can be purchased! I've also removed the snow guard in the air box. With these tweaks, the car does feel marginally better to drive and can hear a very slight increase with induction noise! I was thinking of getting a better turbo inlet elbow and intake pipe as I believe the OEM is restricted a little. Like you say, there's a few cheeky mods without a remap!
  3. I think you've made my mind up! I got the car at only 6 months old for the warranty, so I'll leave things as they are until it expires next year. Think that's a safe option then I can do a few tweaks then. Thanks everyone for your opinions on this matter 👍🏻
  4. Thank you 😊 To be fair, the 245 is a machine and the diff is bloody awesome. I was just wondering whether I could get a little bit more i.e another 35-40bhp just to open it up a bit more. I'm not worried about chasing figures, just want a little bit more. I was thinking of switching to a Superb 272 4x4 as that would be great and have a little more space! Cheers for your message 👍🏻
  5. Hi all, I know there's a lot of discussion and threads on here about tuning boxes and remaps. However, I have been looking at getting a DTUK tuning box and can't decide whether to buy new or second hand! I've seen a few on eBay ranging from £125 upwards and most adverts state DTUK will help with any tweaks or reprogramming if it's slightly different i.e it was used on a DSG and want to use it on a manual - everything else being the same. I don't like speaking out of term here, but I've contacted DTUK and they appear to be very unhelpful! In my opinion, I get the feeling they don't like anyone buying secondhand boxes (understandable). I would buy new, but DTUK don't want to help anyone with a reprogram or flash and answer any questions about the box itself unless you are the person selling it (which is practically impossible if you don't have an invoice or access to their mailbox). Again, I kind of understand this due to GDPR, but I doubt you'll ever be able to get help from them! From my point of view, it doesn't feel me with confidence if I was to buy new and sell it once done with it in a few years! Has anyone else experienced similar as I'm feeling like I should just pay a silly price for an ABT ECU? My car is still under its 3 year warranty, hence why I'm trying to avoid a remap. I'm still on the fence as to whether any tuning boxes or additional ECUs will mess with any figures on the OEM ECU. I've had a few electrical issues recently, so if the car needs to go back into Skoda it may have diagnostic logs sent to Germany, which could invalidate the warranty if it requires any work. Any thoughts on the matter will be appreciated. Cheers
  6. Front and rear suspension springs. Have come off a Skoda Fabia vRS MK1 1.9TDI 54 reg when upgrading them to lowering springs. I've taken pictures from all angles so you can see what the condition is like. As you will see they are worn, but not in bad condition. They do have some slight rust on each spring, which most used springs have, but generally they seem solid enough to go onto another car. I'm looking for £20 for the set. Buyer must collect, located in Rochdale, Greater Manchester and no delivery available I'm afraid. Please message me if interested and I'll get straight back to you. Thanks for looking.
  7. Hi all, I recently sold my MK2 Fabia vRS 2014 and have stumbled across some items that are no use to me now. Official Soda Rallye Green touch up paint with lacquer - only used once for a tiny chip on the bonnet, like new £6 plus £2.50 postage. Original Skoda wheel centre caps x4, all damaged on outside, but job lot £10 plus £2.50 postage. If interested or have any questions, please private message me. Thanks for looking.
  8. Skoda Fabia vRS, 1.9TDI, Silver, 2004 (54), 5 doors, 132,200 miles Owned since March 2011 from 67,000 miles 2 previous owners MOT until March 2018 (no advisory’s on last 3 MOT’s) No Tax due to new DVLA rules Full Service history (mostly Skoda) & all previous MOT certificates Brake Fluid changed March 2017 Timing Belt plus kit & Water Pump changed at 111,400 miles Alternator & Fan Belt changed at 111,400 miles Garrett PD130 Turbo fitted in September 2012 CG Motorsports Dual Friction Clutch and Sachs Dual Mass Flywheel fitted in December 2013 H & R Springs, lowered 30mm Pipercross Panel Filter (also have original filter) 4 new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres fitted June 2017 Cruise Control fitted December 2016 2 original keys/fobs And much more £££ spent on wear and tear parts Please note; I have an A4 folder full of receipts, which has been kept for the history of this car. This is a tidy car for its year, however I will point out the few negatives to give you a true understanding of this car; Bodywork needs a little TLC including: Small dent on rear passenger door where someone has opened their door to it Small trolley dent on passenger front door (less than 5 pence piece) Small round dent on driver side rear arch. These can be pulled out by a dent specialist for a small fee (have checked & should be no more than £100). Stone chips on bonnet – have done a lot of motorway driving Near side sill needs slight attention as just starting to obtain surface rust (nothing major yet) All 4 alloys need refurbishing as the paint is peeling off them. I did have these refurbished back in 2012 by the Wheel Specialist in Manchester, so I can confirm the tyre pressure is stable and very rarely needs topping up, therefore it’s only a cosmetic issue. An engine mount needs replacing and suspect it’s the gearbox mount! I've owned this car for 6 and a half years and has been extremely reliable during that time. I can confirm that there are no other issues to report other than what's listed above. Everything works correctly inside and out. I have washed and cleaned it most weeks to keep it free from salt and dirt. VPower Diesel has been used most of the time throughout my ownership. It has been Serviced every year as per the guidelines, and mostly at my local Skoda dealership. The Service book contains all the stamps with invoices. I’m selling my car due to buying a bigger vehicle as we now have a baby and require more boot space for the toys and pram etc. Finally, I know I've made you aware of the negatives, but I feel honesty is the best policy. I will be very sad to see this car go as it's a lovely to drive, very quiet with minimal rattles/noises (as I have OCD with things like this) and have been getting some great MPG! Please feel free to inbox me if you require any further details. I'm looking for £1795, but am open to offers for quick sale. Location: Rochdale, Lancashire.
  9. I've had Rainsport 3's on mine for 3 years now and just bought a new set this week. They're a great all round tyre and brilliant in the wet. Can't complain at all. Everyone has their own preference to tyres.
  10. Thought that would be the case LMAO!!
  11. I think I know the answer to my question, but before I go ahead with it, what would you do...? I've had my original clutch and flywheel replaced around 98.5k miles (1k miles ago) and wondering what to do with the kit. Any ideas guys?
  12. That's exactly what CG told me. Also, I've heard that from a number of mechanics.
  13. UPDATE - ISSUES FIXED BY CG Well, after my early start this morning, it was well worth it! CG had my car in the workshop for around the hour mark and established the traction control light issue! It was the issue I found on the Seat website http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=209472 They soldered the wires back together and bingo, the battery light appeared on the dash and the traction control light didn't appear 10 minutes after the ignition was switched on. The mechanic at CG did say they wires looked corroded, so they were obviously weak and admitted they must've snapped them when removing the gearbox. Fair play to them for admitting that. The other clicking noise when turning the steering when stationary had also gone! CG said they didn't do anything to rectify this and it may have been the suspension settling after it had been on the ramp. Finally, Mike and I took the car for a test drive and whilst out he explained why the juddering happens when pulling away in first gear. It's basically due to the hard materials used in this dual friction clutch. It is getting better I assume it's because I'm getting used to it. Can't wait to do my 500 miles as I'm ready to have some fun now!! Great service CG and a big thanks for rectifying these issues.
