  1. Has anyone fitted these? http://www.benzinfabrik.de/de/neue-produkte/smd-led-tagfahrlicht-set-fuer-skoda-yeti/
  2. Pulled the DRL bulb to go look for an option to swap mine out but found it to be a bulb I've never seen before (and I've seen many :-)) Any advice on the best options guys? Cheers
  3. Lol, thanks, Im welll aware I dont have auto lights etc :-) The question was about retro fit. And as the car can tell I go into a dark tunnel and then switch off the dash lights, why cant that be adapted to switch on the vehicle lights?
  4. What motors are missing for climate? The dials are all electronic. There's also a light sensor on the car as it switches off my dash lights when I go into a tunnel so auto lights must be possible..
  5. Lol at getting maps updated in the UK. I asked about this as my last UK car was out of date from delivery and the local dealer told me 6 months for an update and poi fix. Wasn't happy
  6. There might have to be a, where to drive your Yeti thread. However, I have to ask, can anyone offer any advice as to if I can add climate and auto lights? :-)

    Yeti DSG

Keep us updated.. Hope it's nothing serious...
  8. Hey, I've not read the complete thread here but thought I'd answer your initial question. Given the choice, Elegance, the extras are well well well worth it. I have an SE with DSG and a few other extras as it was an ex cycle race car with extremely low miles. I miss my auto extras though. The DSG however is nothing short of sublime!
  9. Thanks, Stumpi is the white one. I did deliberate over white or red for the badge, obviously took the white route :-) although I did confer with SWMBO, let het think it was her idea, you know, like you do. ;-) I love the car. Just have to wait for the Rally flaps now, can't buy anything like them here.
  10. But it's a Dacia, really? Just make her watch the Top Gear Yeti show. Dacia? No thanks. Not even if it was better specced and cheaper. Plus, you say your seeing lots of them, another reason to avoid IMO.
  11. True true :-) Popped up to Triplet Falls for the first time. Impressive. Give me a flash if you see me, Live nr Point Cook. White SE with Thule bike carriers on top.
  12. Is it possible? Bought my SE DSG with a few extras from a local VW dealer after it was used as cycle race support/promo vehicle. 1800kms and 10 months old in mint cond and cheap couldn't be passed up. But, my last car in the UK was a fully kitted Elegance Superb Combi with the extras book thrown at it so there are some things I'm really missing. 1, biggest miss is Climate control. Is is possible to retro fit this? 2, miss it but it's not life threatening are auto lights, is this a retrofit possibility? 3, auto wipers I know I've no chance so tough on me. Other than that I'm super super impressed with Stumpi. Drove it properly using the "S" selection on ethe DSG box yesterday along the Great Ocean Road and can say its amazing! I'd played with it in tow but is not a patch as t when you use it in its proper place, twisty roads. Anyway, back on track, an help on the above would be great. Thx Dave

  14. Thx for all the comments, Will be going with Bahnstormers plan and will order the MSA flaps, either that or will try and source some 3-4mm polyurethane sheet to cut my own. Funnily we visited a local Rainforest (temperate) yesterday and got home with a very dirty little Stumpi (his name :-)). It was a last minute decision and o wish I'd have started down the extended flaps road a couple of weeks ago so I already had em fitted. Hey Ho, live n learn.. Then, we go to Ikea earlier and when we cam out, what was parked next Stumpi? Another Yeti, quite something out here as you rarely see the here currently. Took a picture for posterity, wife clearly didn't get it. :-)
  15. Hey guys, I'm an exact living in Melbourne and as I'm an avid mountain biker, spend a bit of time on tracks etc getting to car parks, ride starts etc. I'm concerned about stone chips and under body crap and wondered if anyone has found a supplier of extra wide/long mudflapsHey for Yetis. My car has the new protection film applied to the rear arches but I really would like to belt and braces the job with some decent front flaps. I have the standard Skoda ones on it but they're very small and don't offer much protection. I also bout a kit that enables you to modify and lengthen them but the originals will not allow these to be fitted. Any help much appreciated. Dave
  16. Esilver Yeti, eastbound over the Westgate bridge this morning at about 7:45, couldn't catch you to say hi. Maybe tomorrow :-)
  17. Yeti, not aye! Hate spell check!
  18. So, this made me go out and look. Well actually I was fitting my new Osram bulbs and suddenly thought of this thread. My aye to has the DRLs and fog lamp light housings, so for all intents and purposes it looks like it has them, however, Skoda have gone to the trouble of blanking off the bulb holder and not bothering to fit the lights at all. I feel a little cheated as by looking at the car you'd assume they were real. :-( Next question is, obviously, where can I get the lights that I caswap out so I actually do have fogs? Or is it not worth it, can bus nd all....
  19. Saw a Silver Yeti today in Castmaine after our Mountain Bike ride. I said to my mate "I wonder if they'll wave?" and they did! Yetis are rare here and it's great to see another. We've got quite an exclusive little club going :-)
  20. Ah ok, don't have that on this car. Had to buy this one myself so sadly no full spec ;-)

Looking for a Columbus to out the swing unit, although I'm impressed with it, it doesn't have satnav and I really miss that and don't want a stick on the window Job. Can anyone help?
  22. Is this std on the Yeti or is it only available on upgrade? Looked in the mfd and theres the mirror option, says both, or independent. Can't remember how to get it to work. Any help appreciated.

    Hello again

1.2 two dsg, I'm well chuffed with it! Need to buy a Columbus for it though, miss that the most!

    Hello again

While in the UK, you'll see, if you can be bothered I had a fully loaded Superb company car. Well, long story short is we've relocated to Oz, and now with a car allowance I've had to rethink what's practical so have bought Yeti, I'm collecting it tomorrow and cannot wait. Ever since I first saw these I wanted one and tomorrow is the day :-) 1700 km ex demo from my local VW dealer. Just wanted to share my joy. Dave
