  1. Any think which may effect the emissions has to be tested, optional wheel sizes, sunroofs may effect aerodynamics. heavy options which increase weight. My guess with all the kit that the L&K comes with as standard the weight must be quite a bit higher so perhaps that's the reason. You can order 190 DSG 4x4 L&K's through the dealers now but no deliver times. The best my dealer said would be a minimum of 12 weeks but he was telling me that in September
  2. Should probably have worded the "Passed through WLTP testing".
  3. Went to my dealer today and had a word with them, They say Skoda UK have said that the 190 4X4 has now passed WLTP but they have still not released the block on the order list. This may happen start of next week.
  4. It could be as I say down to the fact that Skoda are expecting them to have passed WLTP by the time you receive your, possibly different specs between UK and Sweden (any spec change or options which may effect emissions needed to be tested, tyre sizes/widths, sunroofs etc) It could even be down to left or right hand drive. The only superbs on the list at the moment are 1.5 and 272. These have only appeared in the past couple of days but cars in this time started getting shipped a couple of weeks ago. https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/default.aspx
  5. Well Skoda UK need to get themselves sorted out because they have told me directly and the dealer in question that they have not been WLTP'ed and could not give a date when they would. At the time of placing my deposit 9 weeks ago I was told it would be 3 weeks before the place a order then 18 weeks to delivery. This has continued to be extended and early this week when i canceled I was told it would still be 2 weeks minimum before I could confirm spec and place the order. Either Skoda UK are behind the times or the 190 4x4 have not gone through WLTP but are expected to have passed by the time you receive yours. Unfortunately due to time restraints I can't wait any longer. The dealer concerned have done there best for me and unfortunately lost a sale due to the poor performance of VAG and I have lost the car I really wanted.
  6. I talked to Skoda UK at the end of last week about 190 4x4 diesels and they could not give me any information on when they would be WLTP, when I could order one or how long it would take until it was built and ready to collect. Sadly I canceled my order as I have a limited time in which i can get a car, so I'm out looking at various none VAG options. As i have a long standing relationship with the dealer (3 previous superbs) they are going to keep me informed and if there is any change they will tell me incase I haven't replaced my existing car by then. I've looked at both pre-reged 520's and E class estates and although they are of better quality inside the trim level is abismale compared to a L&K. i love the look on the "Sales Executive's" face's when you tell them you are only considering their BMW or Merc because you can't get a Skoda and there cars are just a second choice. lol
  7. I have a MKII with 38,000 and they are still ok, but I tend to be very light on brakes, keeping distance from the car in front and looking well ahead so i just need to take the foot of the throttle and don't need to brake that often. I did 85K in a Seat Ibiza and there was still loads of life in the pads. It's all down to how you drive, theres a guy at work gets 15 out of his but he is constantly up the arse of the car in front, braking then accelerating up to it again.
  8. The question needs to be asked, are they shipping these cars to various countries because the WLTP is close to completion so they are expecting imanet delivery to customers or they simply need more storage space. I hope the former is true but expect the latter unfortunately
  9. I was told by Skoda customer services this week that they have no time schedule for WLTPing superds. So could be any time, I've placed a deposit but the car has not been ordered, and still no date for when it can be ordered. Thinking about just walking away and getting something else.
  10. As you say its not shown on the configurator as you say but the dealers can definitely add it as a option for new orders, although I think that is dependent on what engine/model you are ordering. As for is it worth it I guess that's all depends on how much you will use the various options. Here's a video showing the various displays which may help. I think the display which shows a large central rev counter with a digital speed in the middle is only visible on Sportlines.
  11. Good luck with that one, I was shown details from skoda saying L&K orders would be taken in 3 weeks time. 6 weeks later still waiting.
  12. its ok for some people, i was offered extended PCP when my runs out but said I would just pay it off and then trade the car in with it payed off. But I thought If they were offering it at 0% I may as well keep my money in the bank
  13. Are they still charging you the same rate of interest or are they letting you have it at 0%
  14. Yep not a Superb in site , the dealer said they could order my L&K by the end of the week but I'll wait and see, could well be cancelling my order if they don't. As various wheel sizes have to be tested I guess I'll be getting 18 instead of 19in to cut down on any further delay https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/default.aspx
  15. I’m ordering a new L&K but I’m not a big fan of the standard Pegasus wheels and much prefer the Trinity which are similar to the ones fitted to my MKII L&K. The only problem is I see a lot of reviews which say 19in effect the ride and comfort excessively so avoid them. However, I guess most of these reviews are based on the lower spec cars which do not have DCC and would expect that this should compensate for the thinner side wall on the tyres. Anyone had any experience/comparisons of 18/19 inch wheels and DCC. I have no experience with adaptive suspension systems on cars but my experience with it one’s on my bikes has always been positive.
  16. 7 seater lap record holder round the nurburgring. Ideal for the school race, I mean run. Seriously why do companies continue to try and set new records round the ring, they are about as relevant to the real world as their claimed MPG figures.
  17. I've ordered a 190 4x4 L&K recently and I've been told by the dealer 18 to 20 weeks possibly less should have a build week soon. Or by may way of thinking probably more. As said it all comes down to WLTP, they will test the more popular high selling engines first (Diesel )
  18. At the moment I think its down to what engines have been through the WLTP process, I don't think the petrol engines have been sorted yet hence long delays on petrol cars.
  19. I don't think stop start is that great on petrol/diesel engines due to the the lag in starting or cutting out just as you are about to pull away. It will come into it own when the hybrid systems and the car will pull away using the electric motors
  20. Golf ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz
  21. if you can stretch to £30000 for a used Stinger then you may be able to get a new 280 Sportline for that. Have a go on Carwow and see what quotes you get back
  22. No MY19 (Model Year 19) starts production around now, if not already started. Most cars are either built to order (hence long waiting times) or go straight to a dealer as display cars. For some reason shipping from the factory to the UK dealers seems to take a long time around a month. But during this time they have shipping wax on them to protect them. Gone are the days when new cars use to sit in fields for months before sold.
  23. I've had a look on Carwow and at the moment it is only looks like it is available on 190 4x4 DSG cars at all trim levels. Seems strange they are making available based on engine rather than trim level.
