Hi Tom, Thanks for the tip. Wiggling the steering wheel helped before but yesterday it was just not having it. I knew about the break pedal but the clutch was stiff as well (is that normal?) and the beep was new too. This morning I went down armed with my spare key, but didn't need it. After forcing the key "a bit" I heard a bang and it released it. Interestingly there was no beep this morning. Hopefully it stays as is now Well apart from my passenger side electric window that blows its fuse every time it rains :S Thanks for your reply!

Hi All, I have parked up this evening and when I got out of the car realised that I could roll forward a bit to leave more space for the person behind. I released the handbreak but also accidentally moved the wheel with my leg. It locked up as it would normally do, but this time even placing the key back didn't help. The key would not turn, it beeps (just a soft beep not the usual loud one)somewhere and the pedals feel locked too. The remote central lock still worked so not sure if it's a key sync issue. Is it possible for the immobiliser to get stuck? Will try the spare key tomorrow morning, but thought I would ask the question just in case it would not work. Thanks!

I haven't seen any obvious leak or smoke coming out anywhere, hence I was not sure what it was. The only other thing I noticed is the lack of power on uphill when fully loaded. Also every now and then the revs drop a tiny bit and jump back to normal when I am at traffic lights, but it happens very rarely

It is the 1.4 16V Is it something I habe to rush and fix or as long as I feed it with oil it survives for a while?

I bought the car in April this year with 62k on the clock. Did around 4k since but it had managed to use 4 litres of oil since and I am just above the lower end again :( Does this mean something really bad that will cost me a lot to fix? Thanks, Gabi
