  1. Some cretin stole my PID unit (but left the stand that connects to the dash). Can I just pick one up off eBay and plug it in, or does it have to be programmed/linked or something? Cheers in advance for all your Briskoda wisdom.
  2. Afternoon all Have just picked my third Yeti and have gone for a 2016 L&K 4x4 1.4 petrol manual with 15 000 miles. Love the high spec and 150bhp, but finding the gearbox a little "sticky". Is this normal? Maybe I'm just spoilt with the Citigo, which has a lovely little action... Cheers for any wisdom. TM
  3. Thanks john999boy, but I was irked by the response to my (planned to be) helpful and suggestive post that I was foolish to run it so low and ergo fellow Briskodians shouldn't do the same. Clearly I was, but I was in Zone 2 London and took a chance. Living on the edge. I won't bother to help next time.
  4. I was merely trying to warn people that it doesn't get to zero before running out. And for the {people} that commented: I picked up the car from my wife who hadn't filled it up. All good for time on the way to my son's rugby when we realised he'd forgotten part of his kit. Return home, go to rugby, return to car to go to petrol station half a mile away and it wouldn't start. Last time was 34 years ago on a GT125.
  5. Just a quick heads up: I was running the Yeti close to the fuel limit - the gauge said 15 miles of range left. It then ran out. Try not to do the same as me. TM
  6. Just called Skoda and the kosher ones are £177, which is a bit steep for me. Off to check Thule now. Ta for replies.
  7. Morning all Going skiing at Easter and need some transverse roof bars to pick up the roof rails and mount a roof box. Pukka Skoda? Steel square section/cheap? Fluted aluminium unknown brand? Thule aluminium? Secondhand? Of course if money was no object I'd go for Skoda, but am unsure of cost at the mo. Give me some wisdom please. Regards TM
  8. Thank you all. Excellent advice as ever. You will surey all go to heaven (or upwards somewhere at least). Just got to find one now.... chimp
  9. Have a low mileage Mk1 Fab vRS and am looking to chop it in for a Mk2 Oct vRS. Mileage is only about 6 000pa and budget is £10 000 max. Questions: 1 Petrol or diesel? 2 P/EX or private sale? 3 Manual or auto - I'm hearing so many good things about auto these days, maybe it's time for the dark side? Cheers chaps TM
  10. Can we have a push on spelling grille correctly please? I keep thinking I'm reading about someone wanting to spray their cooker. Thanks Yours must get out more often TM
  11. Thanks for car seat info. TM

  12. I have an 05 plate Fab vRs and a rapidly growing 4 year old boy. I want to buy a booster style full seat that attaches to the Isofix. Booked an appointment at Mothercare to have a "fitting", which was a total waste of time. Thought I'd resort to the power of Briskoda: 1 Any wisdom anyone? 2 Thanks in advance. TM
  13. I'd go with apOgee - new battery required. Been there, seen it, sorted it.
  14. Had this on and off for months and when that cold snap over winter killed the battery the new one seems to have sorted out the issue. To precis - get a new battery (if it isn't the sensor).
