Like other people, I also find the km display really irritating and it's hard to keep looking at the dial display to see where 30mph is. Can someone advise where I would get hold of one of these VCDS gadgets, or is it something only garages use? Thanks LizC
  2. Name: LizC Model: SE 1.2 2WD Colour: Candy White Extras: Rear parking sensors, spare wheel, coolbox (latter from Halfords as Skoda could not supply) Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
  3. Very smart, would turn my car into a mobile refrigerator! The Halfords middle sized box seems good, just enough clearance under the parcel shelf. LizC
  4. Think it's what we might called .......red, or even....tomato red. LizC
  5. Clocked a silver Yeti on the roundabout at Bolton Abbey this morning, heading up the hill towards Harrogate as I was travelling towards Skipton. Waved to the surprised owner but we were both cornering quite fast so no time to flash lights. LizC
  6. Thanks MattyTun, haven't yet got around to reading the manual. LizC
  7. That's exactly the sort of scoring but there is plenty of chance to add comments as well. Still no response from Skoda UK to my email. Nine days now. Not interested at all, even though yesterday I gave the market researcher permission to pass on my name and phone number so I could tell them in person how poor their service was. LizC
  8. I emailed Skoda UK on May 3 and it's now May 11, so eight days and no response. Think they seriously need to beef up their customer service as well as updating their website because the superseded coolbox is still showing as available. The head office is letting the dealers down in my opinion. Just acknowledging an email while they look into an issue takes seconds. I'm starting to get very annoyed because I paid nearly £100 for a coolbox which was not the one the dealer ordered and I don't even know when I am going to get my money back. Think I am going to ring my contact at the dealer tomorrow to ask the dealer to issue a cheque. Maybe they could issue one for the long delay I had waiting for the car at the same time! LizC
  9. Pleased to report the problem seems to be resolved. I reversed out of my drive this morning, went forward a few yards and then put it into reverse for a few yards. Not had any buzzing noise since. Haven't yet cancelled the garage on Friday, will see how it goes tomorrow to make sure it really is OK. Thanks to everyone for their help. LizC
  10. I call her She but her kennel name is White Queen. Have never called a car anything before so she must be special. LizC
  11. Just seen a silver Yeti at Murgy's at Yeadon. Would have liked to talk to the owner but he was scoffing a monster fish supper at the wheel. Not many (any) other sightings yet this week, bit surprising as Leeds is such a big place. LizC
  12. Thanks Looby. I don't have any technical knowledge, why would this only happen when the engine was cold? Do you mean the brake disc and is it likely to shake itself free? LizC
  13. Thought peeps might like to know that if they've contacted Skoda UK recently they might get a phone call from a Ripon market research agency asking about their experience. They wanted to know how I felt about a recent email I sent to Skoda UK. Afraid I answered Epic Fail to most questions as the head office is so poor at responding to emails. I sent the last one some time last week and am still waiting for a reply. I wanted to know why they were still advertising a cool box on their website but have attached the part number to a different cool box so customers and dealers who order them get something they don't want. Frustrating for customer and dealer. Suppose they will reply at some stage but I've taken my business to Halfords as I got fed up with waiting. Not a patient person! LizC
  14. Thanks everyone, very helpful replies. LizC
  15. Had my new 1.2 Yeti for just over a week and have done 900 miles including a long journey with no problem. Suddenly yesterday, after reversing out of the drive (as I've done many times before), when I put her into gear and started off there was a low metallic buzzing from somewhere under the car. This seemed to happen on cornering right or left and wasn't related to changing gear. It also happened when I took my feet off all the pedals and allowed her to travel at her own power straight down a hill. This went on for a couple of miles intermittently and then stopped and no more problems for the rest of the 17 mile journey. Returning home was fine, no noise whatsoever. Again this morning, had the problem but it was worse and went on for longer but again after about five miles it stopped and was OK for the rest of the journey. Again, coming home tonight I haven't had any problem. She's booked into the dealer for Friday afternoon but I've explained that they may not hear this buzzing sound as it seems to disappear when the engine is warm or when the car hasn't been standing outside overnight. No warning lights came on and the drive seemed as good as usual. Anyone got any ideas what this might be? Thanks LizC
