  1. Having just read your link, I'm not sure there will be a report. All that has happened so far is the dealer took some photos and sent them to Skoda. The car hasn't been inspected as such, other than by the chap in the body shop at the dealer. I'll push them to get the car properly inspected and have a report produced
  2. Thanks for the reply. I don't have this no. I spoke to the dealer by phone and they told me of the outcome. When I took the car in to the dealer the chap said he thought I'd be fine with the front doors where it appears to be rusting from the inside out, but might struggle with the rear which could be a stone chip. They've actually done the reverse and offered to pay up for the rear. I did mention this on the phone and got the "well it's their decision, I can't be drawn on it...." I've fired off a complaint to Skoda asking them to justify their decision and will ask for this report now so thanks again
  3. Just come off the phone with our dealer discussing this very issue. June 2015 car with both front doors doing this and specs of rust on one rear. They inspected in 2 weeks ago and sent it off to Skoda who have declined the claim! Furious doesn't cover it. This is our second Yeti, the first one did this and they offered to cover but we bought this one instead, this has done the same in under 3 years and they decline the claim. How they can deem in acceptable for a car to rust like this in under 3 years is a mystery, especially when by accepting other claims they have admitted to it being a known fault. Going to appeal it and see what they say but I'm getting ready for a battle
  4. Took ours into DM Keith yesterday. They are trying to push to get it repaired under warranty but it's all academic now as we ordered a new one while we were in. Now our car is going to become theirs I strongly suspect the repair will be under warranty... Wife couldn't resist the urge of a new one with a bit of a deal and ours has been great so looking forward to a few years in another
  5. I've given my wife's Yeti it's usual spring clean and polish this weekend and found these spots all over the bottom of all 4 doors. Quite concerning really. It's a 2011 so just 4 years old so I'm guessing we'll be out of luck in getting Skoda to pay for a fix. Local dealer is DM Keith so I'll take it in and see what they say. I notice they have been mentioned in this thread so are aware and were spoken of highly but we have quite mixed experiences of them so I'll see what happens. Or we could ask for a deal on a new one...
  6. Thanks for the replies. I'll have a play when it arrives and work it out
  7. Hi Tried to search for this so apologies if the answer is on here somewhere! We collect my girlfriends Yeti in a couple of weeks and will be taking it to France a couple of weeks later. The car has Xenons and having had a couple of cars with Xenons I know you shouldn't use the beam deflector stickers. My Mini and my old BMW have a switch in the back of the headlamp unit that can be used to send the beam the other way and i'm wondering if the Yeti has something similar? Thanks in advance!!
