  1. Got my call back, the bloke wasnt very knowledgable but he didnt find the clips eventually. They were 60p each, so i told him to poke it and went on ebay and ordered 10 for £2.50.
  2. Very interesting and good timed post. I was literally on the phone 2 mins ago to skoda asking how much for the clips. Theyre going to ring me back in a bit. See what they say, im not paying 60p per clip though! Pack of 10 off ebay for about £2.50.
  3. Yeah no probs, always good having an opinion, its helpful. Thanks for your advice mate. Will look into a new beam. Its the thought that counts, long drive to leeds. Thanks very much.
  4. Ok thanks mate. So in your opinion the rear beam is deffo knackered? Any other possibilities or is it guna be the beam?
  5. Mattie, il have a look at that next time i get it raised, i can only think i wont get any give in it though. I think im going to have to take this to the specialist place in town and get them to quote me up. Iv got no idea how much a beam would cost.
  6. Could the front end just be out because i had it lowered and then put back onto standard springs? I never got the alignment check after doing this.
  7. Ok thanks mate, fortunately there is a vag specialist nearby, might take it to him to sort. Just dont know where to start really! Im hoping because the beam is obviously bent it will be a less expensive repair job.
  8. This is the alignment report, The bloke looked at it, he was pretty confused. He said everything looks pukka, no obvious signs of damage or anything bent. Let me know what you think!! Thanks
  9. OK thanks Allias, I was going to take it to southam tyres which is fairly local which was recommended by the guy that did an alignment check for me the other day. Apparently they do a geometry check and can look into it a bit further. I shall keep you posted, thinking of taking it over tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
  10. No, havent had chance yet. Doesnt look good though does it...... :S
  11. Mine, standard springs and shocks, did lower it but ride was awful.
  12. Ive uploaded the pics to photobucket, ive got no idea how to upload the pics direct onto here so this is the only way i know how. If you need other pics then i can take some more, Thanks for looking though. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000774.jpg This is the wheel in question. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000775.jpg This is the other wheel. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000768.jpg Dodgy wheel, cant really tell by the pic. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000769.jpg Drivers side. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000773.jpg Ground level of rear beam, not sure if this is what u wanted. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000771.jpg Underneath affected wheel http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l585/stueygonzales/Fabia%20Camber/P1000772.jpg Other side Thanks
  13. Ok thanks guys. Il try and get some pics up tomorrow. I can do all of what u said allias so will try and get that done. Cheers mate.
  14. Yeah, thanks. Ive kinda ruled out kerb damage because of that. Will see, going to take it to a garage to get it check. Any heads up on exactly what to ask for? Geometry Check?
  15. I do experience 'mooing' from braking but put that down to wearing dics?? Hoping its not a bent rear beam, nothing obvious looks bent so im hoping for bent stub. To be fair ive not had the wheel off to inspect it. Nervous times with a house move iminent, hoping for the best case scenario! BTW, its definately a camber issue on one side.
  16. Ill take it to a garage this week and take some pics then i should be able to provide more info. Yesterday was just a quick pit stop to see what they said.
  17. Hmm i was thinking that its probably from impact, worrying but hopefully cab get it sorted easily. I just never trust garages thats the problem, trying to rinse me of my money. Will have to get my wallet out this week.
  18. Hmm so many posts! For the interior lights....e.g.the speed dials and heater controls and all that, is it just a case of buying LED's and soldering them in the place of the old LED's? Assuming its LEDs that are there now. They look class when they are nice and bright like that! Makes my standard set up look like a 5 year old set of xmas lights, dull and boring!
  19. Good Afternoon All In need of some advice regarding my Fabia vRS. Ive noticed recently that my rear wheel passenger sidelooks like its leaning inwards and the tyre is showing excessive wear on the inside . Ive just taken my car to a local tyre garage and he checked the alignment and all that jazz. He informs me that the camber is out, he suggested he was looking for a reading of 6......mine read 12. So the camber is out.....Im wondering what the likely fix to this may be as im aware that this cant be adjusted on the fabia. Im going to get this looked at with a garage that can do a geometry check on it which may enlighten me further but i thought id ask on here first for opinions and thoughts. Is this likely to be an easy fix or a costly repair job requiring parts? Ta Muchly!
  20. Yep its happening isnt it. Not merging though, just working together as separate authorities. Doesnt make much difference for minions like us though!
  21. Strange that, im a firefighter in Warwickshire FRS. Small world hey!
  22. I had these red LED lights on my golf when i had that, very interested to hear if you find out how to get them in the vRS and then some pics!
  23. Nice, thanks! Thinking of giving it a clean if such a thing is possible to possibly improve the MPG.
