  1. That's what I did! Columbus do have more options then Bolero though, but in general, the sequence is the same.
  2. Hi all, I followed your advise and basically copied my Bolero's coding and applied it to the Columbus. Still no joy :(
  3. Thanks Wardy and Pete for your quick response. We did try several options under Sound System with unit reset. Might have missed something so will try again, this time with screen shots
  4. Apologies if this question was posted before but the search function isn't working in Tapatalk today. I recently bought a used Columbus for my Octy II FL from eBay for DIY install. Almost everything works except that there is no sound! Found a buddy with VCDS and was tinkering with the various Speaker settings but couldn't solve the problem. The seller says he had coded on 6 speaker system while mine is the 12 speakers system. VCDS only shows 4 speakers maximum. Is there an expert who can help? PS, also tried the DynaAudio option both off and on with no joy.
  5. Hi, thanks to you guys, I've followed your instructions and is now a happy 'ex-Nokia' Octy driver. And thanks to Andy's posting, I've also connected an additional speaker wire for Surround sound, especially when streaming music using BT. I've posted some pics on VAGSG. Here's the link (PS, my ride's Octy so am using Bolero instead of Columbus). Otherwise, the operation should be pretty similar: http://www.vagsg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=715391&posted=1#post715391

  7. Or u can take a photo or video as.a proof when it happens? Sent from my HTC Incredible S using Tapatalk
  8. I bought the 5N... D module for£115 and it was great! Thanks for the recommend. Tried rSAP mode and can do all the good stuff except I can't find the reply SMS feature on MFD or Bolero. Can someone advise where to get it? Another question is my Maxidot is probably an older firmware. Doesn't display the AD2P or batt icons just showed square. Do u know if the MaxiDot firmware can be upgraded to display new icons encoding? Thanks Sent from my HTC Incredible S using Tapatalk
  9. That is expected as on rSAP mode, the SIM card is accessed by the car BT module. Technically u can use the mobile feature like GPS nav, but it must be enabled before the car connects to yr phone via BT. Sent from my HTC Incredible S using Tapatalk
  10. Or u can read the car manual Sent from my HTC Incredible S using Tapatalk
