Are you mad? was +1 degrees midday today! lol

  6. You need to do something about this asap. What if you let this lie and in the next few months they get engaged - she decides he's 'the one' and/or she falls pregnant? Then before you know it they are married with at least 1 child. Then she finds out another way (and yes cheats always get found out), they get divorced and go through court proceedings. The upbringing of an innocent child is affected as well. Yes this is very much worst case scenario but it could happen. I would act now if i was you and don't be concerned about her attitude towards you.
  7. Do not sell to 'Webuyanycar'. They will only offer you £50 for it if it needs repairs, which isnt right as thats less than scrap value. They should not be in business imo. Your options are: 1. Break it - people always after certain parts: Body panels, doors, stereo, dashboard, seats, door trim, parcel shelf, bootlid,bonnet..... Then scrap the shell (which you should get more than £50 for) 2. Car auction - if it is driveable? could you temporary disguise the problem? give the car a good valet then auction it if you can. 3. Fix it - just because the cost of repair is more than value of the car doesnt mean you can't fix it. Were you happy with the car before the problem occured? If so you should consider this option as you could fix it and the car could last for many more years. Remember its all about the usage value of the car. Hope this helps
  8. This is unbelievable! I would write to them with your findings and inform trading standards as well - this is not right and they shouldn't be allowed to continue doing this to customers. They should not be in business.
  9. I would keep the Fabia, purely on the basis that the cost of motoring is rising and the are both essentialy the same car (same chassis, both turbo). The Polo is a higher insurance group, a higher road tax band, and mpg is obviously lower. And if your Fabia has never missed a beat then keep it, as 77k is low for a diesel. You don't know how the Polo's been driven either - could of been ragged every morning from cold all its life, but i suppose thats a risk you take when buying any used car. At the end of the day it is up to you and the Polo GTI is a great car but i think the Fabia is a better car as its easier on the wallet. Hope this helps and sorry if i'm biased lol.
