  1. I guess less was known last Friday when they cancelled, would I take the gamble with so much money and uncertainty hanging over vw cars? I honestly don't know if I would but I'd certainly be thinking long and hard about whether I'd spend my money with them right now, to the point I'm delaying buying a new pickup until this has died down and cleared up because I was going to buy an amarok now I'm waiting and seeing before I commit to anything. We own an affected car mkii vrs it's been a good car and I'm not too worried at 5 years old it's served us well would I buy a new one tomorrow? Not a chance until this is cleared up with facts on the fixes etc
  2. Spoke to a VW dealer on Saturday friend of a friend when we where out for a meal, apparently the number of cancelled orders they've been hit with is unreal, he's confident vw will sort everything for customers whether all the dealerships survive in the mean time remains to be seen they'd had 6 passats for a company fleet cancelled on the Friday that where meant to be delivered on the Monday.
  3. Vw did exactly this with the Amarok Cayman gave either a full refund or offered a trade up to a higher spec brand new model because they couldn't carry the advertised weight so didn't meet the criteria for a commercial vehicle and the tax implications involved. From memory some of those where 18 months old so a pretty good deal for any customer affected 18 months free motoring.
  4. With winter tyres the VRS was as good as my 4x4 in snow up to a couple of inches we had last year I was astounded by how good it was and I'd never be without winter tyres now
  5. They look nice, personally the gulfman tops them both but as with all things in life its down to personal preference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Gshock is the only choice you'd be hard pushed to beat this for value for money and sheer toughness lovely watch and very comfortable to wear well worth the extra £10 on your budget. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2831978.htm Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. That looks lovely Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. Best thing I ever did and it was how my portfolio started its all down to good tenants and a good arrangement with your mortgage company both of which can be found especially tenants in the current climate in that property the tenants have been in 3 years now and aside from a leaking radiator no trouble at all I hope they stay there for another 20 years
  11. You'd get an early CL 55amg for that money too or a CL 600 biturbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. That's looking good you'll be addicted once you get out in the mud had mine over 2 years now buttons to run and fix in 2 years its cost me about £100, a new battery being the big one everything else just peanuts like indicator relay etc here's mine Daihatsu Fourtrak 2.8TD it's was an 7seater once upon a time lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. VRS 4x4 tdi ill place my order now that would be perfect for me if they did a VRS superb 4x4 I'd have traded in my pathfinder instantly I found the current superb a little soft for what I wanted although I'm still tempted lol
  14. Popped into tesco in Widnes at lunchtime to grab some bits and noticed a race blue VRS parked miles away from the store with no other cars around it gave me a wry smile I do exactly the same
  15. True true, my next big one with be a comex dweller I think god help me lol lovely collection you've had there love the Tudor Constantly swapping out the collection the U1 is the only one I regret selling and will buy again it becomes an obsession at one point the value of my collection was in new top spec 911 territory I can never imagine just owning and wearing one watch gives me a shudder just thinking about it. You won't regret it they're fantastic and I've never seen another when out and about (yes I'm the weirdo trying to see what watch you're wearing) you'll spend a while babying it and being really careful but you'll soon realise it can't be hurt besides a tungsten carbide watch I've got the U1 has to be the most scratch proof.
  16. You taking the mickey? I've owned a fair few watches and the U1 is one of the nicest I've had and will be buying another I regret selling it. Is that difficult to understand? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I've owed both and love both but I'm hinting at another U1 for Christmas one of the nicest watches I've owned and I've had a good few. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I got my dads done for him last year ( he lost most of his teeth in a motor bike crash) and his false ones where driving him mad he's had them over 12 months now more like 18 and loves them mentions how good they are when ever we go for meals etc. even my mum has said he never stops praising them to anyone who'll listen so its not just to me cos I paid they've genuinely made a massive improvement to his life after much looking around and consultaions I used these guys http://www.evodental.com/price-list-one-day-siles/price-list-one-day-smiles.html Extremely good very nice to deal with no pressure the made my dad feel comfortable ( he hates the dentist) a good price but more importantly great after care and the feeling of being able to just call at anytime to check something or ask a question. They where recommended by a good friend who's a dentist along with 2 other companies neither of which came close to the friendliness and confidence these guys instilled
  19. Yep same with the osrams made a huge difference if I hear of plug and play hids without problems ill buy some but these are more than doing the job for now
  20. Good luck to them sadly if you want the best people in that role you have to pay for it they've sacrificed a lot to get to that position they're now reaping the rewards. If it was my daughter that needed treating I'd pay 10x the amount, in fact I pay an awful lot each year for private health care. When i injured my knee and was unable to work there was a 10 week wait minimum for physio and treatment i went private it was 4 weeks until i was working again compared to 3-4 months with no money coming in if id have waited on the NHS. The NHS does a great job with the funding they have but sadly the country is now too densely populated for the system to cope and we have MPs claiming expenses left right and centre wasting money non stop who are all on similar if not more that doctors after you've taken everything into account. I personally know electricians earning mega money but they are generally the best out there and it's taken them a long time to qualify and gain the experience necessary, you could get a spark out of the paper to work for buttons who qualified on an 8 week course would you really want them messing with 11,000v equipment I know I wouldn't. Jealousy and bitterness over what others earn and have will never stop if you feel hard done by get up and change it only you can, trust me if it was a family member being treated you'd think it was worth every penny if not more. Not aimed at anyone in particular
  21. Police around here use vrs's as chase cars and for pursuit training, As for the 335 most unreliable pile of **** I've ever had the displeasure to own and that's saying something after my range rover sport debacle, the 335 was amazing to drive WHEN it wasn't in for repair well known for faults I would certainly never touch one without a bloody good warranty.
  22. Nope I'd reject the car and ask for a new one I just wouldn't want to chance any further hassle with it personally if something else goes you'd always be wondering could it be related etc
  23. Fitted the osram tonight just not had chance to try them yet ill report back when I do
  24.
