  1. has anyone had an issue with the rear door mouldings catching the rear for the front door when the rear door opens? It seems the mouldings have come away slightly, but given the very narrow clearance it is enough to now foul the front door. Put into dealer and told that I have damaged it myself with the seatbelt! Any thoughts? F
  2. As a new car it would have had virtually no fuel in it on delivery, so the feed would have been mainly petrol. Older cars wouldn't bother as they run on anything! Newer ones too sensitive.
  3. The salesman told me about the refuel as I was due to pick it up the same evening, but he said a) the valeter did it b. ) he realised his mistake and the car was not started and transported back on a recovery truck. I visited the petrol station and asked to see the cctv footage of that day. Clear as a bell the car came in, was mis fuelled, and then driven away, by THE SALESMAN,!! Back in the show room he still denied a problem and stuck to his original story. Only when I questioned him in front of his boss and an independent witness ( who was there to buy a car) did the salesman admit totally lying. I got a full refund of deposit and walked away. Skoda uk were told, they investigated and the sales boss confirmed my tale. Just wanted to warn others as if WE had done that any warranty would be kissed goodbye! Petrol wil dissolve fuel pump lubrication and not to mention valve guides and injectors. Arnold Clark................hmmmmmmm. I made the salesman admit every individual point of untruth. Very satisfying to see him squirm.
  4. I just wanted to flag up a warning if anyone on here goes to buy a Black 14 plate Fabia II Scout 1.6 Tdi 105 reg I was due to collect this vehicle at the end of August, but declined to take delivery after it turned out that Arnold Clark Seafield had put £30 of unleaded in it and driven it 4 miles, then tried to tell me they hadn't! Look out! I have a new Fabia Scout from Parks of Hamilton. All good so far!
  5. Have same prob with 2.0 tdi. Stutter when accelerating in 2nd gear around 1700 rpm after slowdown. Dealer couldn't find fault on three occasions, as no engine light coming on. Suggested a loose air intake. Makes no difference when I wiggle it though! £80 odd to 'fix' this. Any ideas?

  7. My octy is 56 with 88k miles and needed a new compressor. Went to Skids UK who gave a hood will gesture towards £840 dealer price. Sadly it has only solved prob for 5 days! Need to get back to skoda UK....
  8. Get 4 Kleber Quadraxers , good deal online at ATS . All season and reasonable too.
  9. Looks too coupe-ish. Minimal headroom in the back. Looks too short side on as well. Hope estate works better!
  10. And they will still apply discounts if you ask! I got reduction on aircon regas as I was having the cambelt done at the same time.
  11. My dealer told me that there is an aftermarket body kit available to make a Superb Scout. Would still need raised suspension though.
  12. My mk2 4x4 seems to have two torx bolts holding the calipers on. Any idea what size they are?
  13. Just did the same to my 4x4 last weekend. Really clear and useful instructions and pics, and saved myself a fortune. Thanks for the fantastic detail!!
