  1. Yes, they with the tires did a HUGE difference. Very noteable through the whole register if you ask me . Only issue I have is that they are expensive :P.
  2. Yeah, I was abit "annoyed". It has been fixed now atleast . Alleggeritas up front, superleggera in the rear ! Let's just say that he will not be doing that anymore. I found out who it was and had a talk with him. On a more positive note : have had some vacation so went to portugal. Therefore there has been a lack of replies. However, I have been able to work abit with the cars soundsystem and... Well, it went bananas again :P! Next step : sand the box and paint it green. Apply some stickers, paint it black and remove the stickers. Voila, green-painted company-names on the black subwooferbox... But that is for some other time. Gotta clear up some cables aswell .
  3. Where to begin... Have rebuilt a stockturbo with bigger cold-side and thrown a custom software in it. Should deliver around 240-250 bhp and 350 nm in engine! Have also gotten 2 more lightweight-wheels, so it is starting to move about now! Unfortunatly, someone didn't like the extra power in the car and got jealous. So jealous in fact that... Well, I let the picture speak for itself.
  4. Anyone know where it is located? Fans aren't starting, but it's possible to start them with taking power directly from the batterie. Tried to bridge the sensor in the cooler, but nothing happened. My guess is that the coolingfan controlunit has packed up. Anyone know where it is located in a Fabia? Please, no guessing . Already scratched my head for over an hour trying to find it by just peeking under the hood. The cables from the fan to the batterie is going together with a loom that is covered. Not possible to follow the cables and see where they go.
  5. Hello there, questions regarding replacing a broken ecu. Can you replace the ecu of a car with a used one? Or does it have to be a completely new one? I understand that it will need software, but ecu:s for some cars will not work when they are "bound" to another car. So I want to doublecheck it before I buy a used one and potentially waste money .
  6. ... the local Skoda-workshop couldn't get it working with the immobilizer :( ! They claim that you have to buy keys specifically for your car via the workshop so they come pre-coded for the car with right chassie-number. That got me wondering if anyone else has tested some new ebay-keys and if/how they got it working .
  7. Foam-base? Should only need the adapter that is mentioned... I have had V12:s on my RS. Really good in the wet, no complaints on that tyre tbf . Skickat från min LG-H815 via Tapatalk
  8. I am looking forward for that! Skickat från min LG-H815 via Tapatalk
  9. Have some updates for you guys. Have uploaded some new software and tried it out with Torque. I approve of the figures. Also managed to find 2 lightweight-rims gor a reasonable price . Skickat från min LG-H815 via Tapatalk
  10. Wasn't the mechatronics fault. Was the clutches fault. Skickat från min LG-D855 via Tapatalk
  11. Well, long time since I had an update. The car hasn't been completely well for some time and we have finally found the issue. The car wasn't as smooth with changing gears as it used to be and the nearest authorized garage couldn't find the issue to why. They thought that my dampers and springs was the issue since they weren't stock... Took it to another garage where it literally took them 20 minutes to find a TPI that fit my faultdescription with broken clutches. Said and done, they removed the gearbox and the clutch was just in an awful state. The flywheel was blued due to overheating. The clutches where in such a bad nick, you could press it together by hand. They also removed the Mechatronic and found pieces by gear 1 or reverse. The shaft that controls gear 1 and reverse is bent. All thanks to it dragging out on time. So a new gearbox has been on backorder since mid-May, hopefully I will have my car back this week tho. But as it looks, will probably not have many new upgrades this year thanks to the gearbox :(.
  12. Hello people, long time since I wrote. I've had abit of a rough patch, lost my job and had to pause my own business. Sold everything soundwise and buildwise ( including my SRX350:'( )and almost sold the car... But managed to keep it! Also managed to get me a new job, so hopefully I will be back spamming pictures and such .
  13. So Loba went for the 46.4mm K04-impeller according to my sources. I will use a smaller impeller, 44.9 mm, for a better ratio between exhaust/air parts.
  14. Like topic says : has anyone built their own hybrid for their Mk2 vRS? How big have you gone? Was there any special trouble?
  15. Went through D2:s racepads in 2 months. They claimed that my rearbrakes were too small and there made these do too much of the braking...
  16. Looks good, let's hope you have a better experience with them then I had .
  17. I've gone from 280/232 to 312/232 and later to 312/256... Yes, it's an upgrade you will want to do. Otherwise, you'll upset the balance front/rear and put an unnecessary big strain on the front brakes. That + you'll wear the front out quicker aswell.
  18. Running decat will however fail MOT :> I'd still advise going for a sport-catalyst, it's about 2000 sek for a good one in Sweden so I imagine it's a fair bit cheaper at GB as everything else is ;P.
  19. I haven't seen any S1 on the streets in Gothenburg, Sweden except for the dealerone. And there are some pretty good reasons for that... You think the Mk3 Fabia and the S1 in Brittain is expensive? Our BASE-spec S1 costs a whooping 25000+£ ! Adding up some "reasonable" equipment : Sportseats front (not the leather/nappa option) Tinted windows Electricly foldable sidemirrors with heated nozzlers for the windows (after all, it's Sweden) Automaticly deglaring rearviewmirror Storage and luggage-package Armrest Cruisecontrol PDC front and rear Comfortkey with alarm Connectivity-package (MMI, bluetooth and Audi Music Interface) 2 years added warranty I'd say this equipment is reasonable, no navigation, no uprated speakers or stuff like that. The added cost? 6200 £! The biggest reason tho why NOT to buy an S1 is because it's still an A1. It's hideous :(.
  20. One of the reasons for the crappy comfort is down to the stock shockabsorbers and springs. They manage to be harsh when you're driving along and soft when you push the car! Talk about progressive in the wrong way. The Weitec GT-suspensionkit is much smoother when running over speedbumps and when you really push it, it gets ALOT better than stock. An upgrade I vouch for since the handling is... well, rubbish !
  21. Running a 100CPI catalyst and have no problems with emissions. Yes, it will perform better with a 100 CPI-catalyst than the stock. The stock one is an absolute pig in restriction. And running decat compared to a 100 CPI catalyst is a no-gain. 1 hp might aswell be dynodifferncies, heatdifference etc. I'd say sport-catalyst all the way .
  22. It is not possible to remove the frontglass only I'm afraid. Techically, it's not okay to use it. If you where to hit someone (by accident ofcourse), the damages can get even worse due to them getting stuck in the lamp. One can survive without the car for a couple of days usually .
  23. Insert a small screwdriver on the bottom side and gently pry it out. There is no need to remove the fuse, but make sure that the "arms" aren't touching any metal on the LED-lamp .
  24. I used flyeyes, but was really unhappy with it. Went back to the pattern I "invented" and then modified it abit more. Now the taillights have been sanded with 2000+ paper and then laquered with some layers of clearlaquer. Looks awesome if you ask med . Thank you for the "love", I've been figuring of doing it again but this time in black pearl metallic. And too be fair, it's always been called "Kombi" in Kombi-country : Sweden . SAAB 9-5 had the label "Sport Combi" for about 10 years before VAG snatched it to the Golf 7. And the SAAB 9-5 was available with stiffer suspension and a 260 bhp / 370 nm Aero-version .
