Hi Briskodian Brilliant job! I have got the same problem and like you would like to fix it myself. Your description is quite detailed, but I do not have the Haynes or any other manual to work from. I have removed the door card and removed all the screws from the door carrier, but can't get it off, to get to the lock mechanism. Can you give me few tips how to get off the door carrier? I have Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDI estate, the window mechanism is rivited to the door carrier. Thank you. Best regards. Jan
