  1. As the title says, this is not a goodbye as we still have the Octavia VRS, have just added another addition. Have stuck with the VA Group. So will be flitting between forums, thanks 😁
  2. Droped the wagon off last night, received a call at lunch time, thermostat housing and water pump replaced, coolant topped up, so should all be good now. The faulty part was leaking through a hole on the body. Possibly a breather of some sort ? Back to happy motoring
  3. Underneath the inlet manifold. Could see the leak out of the pump/housing pretty clearly
  4. Just under £500 for both parts (thermostat housing and water pump) and fitting
  5. Low coolant message appeared in cluster last night. Had a look, and yes it was down. Couldn't see anything from topside. Had a bit of a scrabble on the drive and could see coolant on the lower deflector. Topped it up to maximum. Took it to a VW specialist this morning . . . . Yep, it's the water pump/thermostat housing . . . Bu99er ! !
  6. #Sealer cracked both sides at rear roof #Bolero touch screen #Audio control module #Top strut mounts/bearings #Nearside front wheel bearing #Offside front window regulator
  7. Have you tried TPS ? https://tps.trade
  8. Turned up at my work, and the first thing she says . . . Don't shout at me ! !
  9. My other half scuffed an anthracite alloy, was quoted £150 to repair, she caught the diamond cut and the anthracite. I managed to get a new alloy (through a friend at a bodyshop) for £280. I now have a full size, slightly damaged spare !
  10. Possibly needs turning back ? / Centralising ? (Turning the passenger's clockwise (as you look from the nearside))
  11. Mines an auto, can say for manual ones !
  12. It's in Eco mode, just need to press the mode/VRS button and cycle through the modes
  13. I have the same noise. I think it's from the internal motion sensors.
  14. I'm the same as bomski, have a power magic pro to cut the power, works a treat https://www.blackvue.co.uk/index.php/component/virtuemart/blackvue-accessories/power-magic-battery-pack-detail?Itemid=0 Crickey ! https://www.blackvue.co.uk/index.php/component/virtuemart/blackvue-accessories/power-magic-electric-power-controller-detail?Itemid=0
  15. Another for tesco momentum. Used this in the previous Fabia vrs's (message in the fuel flap) and stuck with it ever since !
  16. I know they are abused, but definitely wasn't out for freebies. I only activate the parking mode when leaving the car parked up, otherwise only on when the engine is. And like I said earlier I put it in the laptop to format the card. Was under the impression I needed to carry this out fairly regularly to keep the card "healthy" ? ?
  17. Thanks everyone , I don't have any problems with turning off the cam (if that's what any worker wants) but you do forget it's there. It was weird to hear the recording notification after 6 months of not having the car, had completely forgot about the cam. I have the cam for piece of mind when on the road (not for spying on people or trying to catch anyone out) and to help others (if involved in an incident) I have been in contact with Blackvue and with their guidance have managed to resolve the sync issue. Thanks again
  18. I have no problem with the no filming bit, just a little concerned that the videos were fine before it went in, 6 months down the line it's now not.
  19. So should've been asked to turn off myself, maybe not them pulling the plug and possibly messing up the cameras ! ! Thanks
  20. As some of you are aware I've been without my car for some time. On getting the car back I decided to reformat the SD card from the dash cam. When loading it in to the laptop there was a lot of room left. On checking further (just looking at date stamps) there is a huge gap. Contacted the dealer who told me they pulled the power lead out. Their techs did not want to be recorded (that's fine) The camera was set to record when the engine was running and stop when the engine did and the notification told you this when starting and stopping the engine. I now have an approximate 5 sec delay between the front and rear cameras (contacted blackvue and currently trying to resolve this) The service manager said it was all to do with "data protection". The cameras face outwards so driver and passenges are not recorded. So I'm not really sure on the data protection bit. If they'd said, I could've turned the camera off completely. Without this getting too out of hand, what's your views on this ? Thanks peeps
  21. This is after a thorough clean (due to dealer having for 6 months) they were told not to wash ! !
