I collected my Monte Carlo today and paid off the finance which I took out yesterday with no problems and £1.76 interest for a day. Really happy with the car so far just under £13k through a price match on Carwow with a space saver wheel and no other extras. Thanks for all your advice didn't realise how easy it would be to repay with no penalties. Well worth doing the finance to save 2k and carwow gave me a £20 Amazon voucher whoop whoop!

Having read various threads now on finance I will be paying off the balance as soon as I have picked up my car to pay the minimum amount of interest as it is accrued daily. Cancellation within the 14 day right to withdraw period comes with no penalties as far as I can see and no incentives being claimed back.

Hi Bill Thanks for letting me know your experience. I told the salesman exactly what I was planning to do and he advised me that I needed to cancel after day 14 as I would be breaking the contract with them and would therefore owe them £2000! He asked me to wait until the first payment comes out but I wont be doing that as I want to repay the finance a.s.a.p. I would be interested to hear other peoples experiences and advice as I would like to pay as little interest as possible. Karry

Just bought a new Corrida Red Fabia Monte Carlo £3924 off the list price. Had to take out finance to get this but intend paying it off after the first month or sooner if I can. Had to have an in stock car rather than factory ordered so just the basic model but really looking forward to getting it without a long wait.

Picked up my Race Blue Fabia VRS yesterday from Marlborough Skoda 10/8/11 bought through Drive the Deal and was told the manager there wasn't best pleased because they lost £200 on each car! Have driven 118 miles so far and really enjoying myself. Live in Milton Keynes so give me a wave if you see me! Only option I chose was Cruise Control but should possibly had Black Alloys to match the grill etc. Will get round to uploading photos at some stage when my techical son comes to visit! By the way was ordered end of April and thought it wouldn't be arriving til October so very pleased. Karry

I ordered my Race Blue VRS on 2nd May just as the VAT free offer closed from Drive the Deal. I was quoted 25-27 week delivery but have received a confirmed build date this week of week 28 which I believe is next week and delivery of the first week in August. Wasn't expecting it for a few months yet so I'm happy. Just need to sell my Rav 4 55 plate now ebay here I come. Karry

Racing Blue all over. Felt it would be more subtle for another over 40! Ordered just before the end of the VAT deal 2nd May through DTD. Only extra - Cruise Control to keep it within budget. No idea what build week was told 25-27 weeks. Will pick it up from Skoda Marlborough Isleworth. Fairly impulsive buy as I have only test drove a Monte Carlo and thought it a bit flash for an oldie! read forums on here and just clicked a buy it now button!!!! My hubbie thinks I'm mad but I really can't wait to learn how to drive it! I am sure I'll have many questions later in the year but I'm reading lots now and hoping some of it will sink in! Karry

I ordered via drivethedeal as my local dealer wasn't taking orders after 3pm Thursday. I had a call from them yesterday to say that they would let me know Tuesday whether they would be able to honour the deal. They aren't passing my order to the dealer until Tuesday. Have ordered a fabia vrs in racing blue. Told it will be a 6 month wait. No worries - gives me time to get some pennies together.
