  1. Thank you for taking the time to write your review.I'll certainly be test driving a Fabia with a DSG next time.
  2. Had our Monti for around 15 months. We love it & get around mid 30's to mid 40's mpg. Think the 105 ps will be better if you live in an area where there's a lot of hills,as it makes short work of them Also likes the higher octane petrol, seems much smoother & quieter after we switched to that last year
  3. The Red or White colours are free. It's an extra £400 for any of the other colours,at least it was last may when we brought ours!!!!!!!
  4. Glad you got your dispute sorted & finally ended up with a nice car. Thanks for all the insurance advice too quite an eye opener
  5. I've seen a blue vrs estate being offloaded at the trading estate i work at in newton abbot devon Thats not yours is it.
  6. Had a similar problem with the Monte last month. Turns out the motor was blown, fixed within 2 days,so back to happy motoring
  7. Very nice looking car would have had that colour myself but the extra £400 put me off
  8. 0 to 60 in 20 seconds. Never go above 60 mph :giggle: Yes that's our car.You don't realise how much you take your windscreen wipers for granted till they let you down. I'm not racing it but drive it fairly hard up the hills but back off the throttle down the hills
  9. Hi Vr2 sorry to hear about your bad fuel consumption not getting any better. I know we live in the same area I'm getting 38 to 45 mpg depending how many times a week I blast up Telegrath hill. Still can't believe how quick It can travel up there. I think you'd be best to use tesco 99 or equivalent for the next 3 or 4 fill ups for the ECU to work optimality again. Hope It gets better for you :(
  10. All fixed. It was a blown motor. Top marks to dealer SMC Exeter Thank you for the speedy service
  11. The wiper motor is kaputt back to the dealer to get it sorted.Skoda assist very helpful & will sort out a courtesy car for us
  12. The first fault developed today the windscreen wipers stopped working. Got the RAC coming to check it out. will let you know what they discover later :wonder:
  13. Nice looking car Now we just want pics every week of it looking that clean :giggle: Good luck with the cleaning with the wet & windy weather due to hit the UK for the next 2 weeks
  14. SMC was who we brought from. Have to agree nothing but praise for them.Great communication car arrived on the day they estimated even allowed us to pick it up on A Saturday.[they apparently don't like doing handovers on saturdays because it's so busy].The salesman was so confident we'd like it he said I'll see you in 3 years when you'll want a new one
  15. Tesco momentum 99 & if you can eat 4 tins of tuna you'll get 5p a litre off :p
  16. From build date it took 3 weeks Can't beat the feeling of driving away from the dealer in a brand new motor
  17. Shows how many times I've refuelled the car,let mrs skoda kev do it most of the time I'd looked all over the door found the weight plate. Never thought of looking on the inside of the fuel cap Thanks for your help Kev
  18. Wife has informed me we've got our first parking ding today The joy of owning a new car The best add on for me as been the autoglym lifeshine.Must say for lazy car washer like me this makes the chore so much easier. We suffer from quite a lot of seagull attacks so far this stuff they supply with it has worked a treat at removing the bloody muck. Hope you enjoy your car as much as we are ours, when you get it
  19. I'm getting around the same as you in my Monte living in the same area. Although using the Tesco 99 fuel & getting into 5th as soon as possible can give you much better economy than keeping the revs higher & sprinting everywhere. Do you know what the tire pressure should be in the Monte I can't find this in the handbook???????????
  20. I didn't put them on mine because i think there a bit to low down on the door. Surely some who opens a door onto your door the ding would be higher up. There any of you chaps out there with rubber protect-er strips that have dings higher up the door
  21. I feel sorry for you ,considering the amount of extras you purchased & the time you've waited for the car it's indeed very poor show from Skoda & your dealer. Can only say from my own experience ownership has been the opposite to you a complete joy. Must say we found the Exeter dealer here in Devon very good.
  22. I've tried driving it sensibly, but the temptation to hear the Monte roar is just to great Also having just done 2500 miles thought I'd better check the oil still showing full on the dipstick. Managed to get a litre of Castrol edge for £12 at Asda.No wonder the dealer didn't throw one in for nothing
