  1. Will have a look, thanks.
  2. Sorry, not trying to advertise just wanted to know if this is what to expect selling privetly or if I had made a mistake with the asking price. Oh, i have not been on this site for a long time - could you provide a link to Freedom and i will have a look what it is? Thanks.
  3. Yes, it is my car. All servicing is up to date by skoda dealer and nothing needs done. I ask as i have had a lot of interest (phone and email) but everyone so far want lots £££ off. I was hoping to get a good price as the car is in such good condition. Thanks for your replys though:)
  4. Hi, here is a 2011 Superb 3.6 4x4. Is £**** too much?
  5. Hi Darryl63, I'm afraid I had exactly the same experience as you. I took my superb to Chathams Skoda Dunfermline who said they would send pictures to Skoda UK but were doubtful anything could be done. Sure enough Skoda's response was that the window trim had been exposed to something during cleaning and that it was my fault! Red rag to a bull as I had the car from new and only washed by hand and with one make of car soap. I sent a list of all the ingredients in the car wash soap to Skoda Technical asking them to identify what had caused the problem, but of course they could not comment but then said "As discussed I submitted a report to Skoda UK technical regarding the chrome discolouration on your Superb. They have deemed the discolouration to be due to a chemical agent or detergent which has contaminated the surface. On this basis the replacement of the trims cannot be claimed for under the manufacturers warranty". Then I was told it did not matter as the car was 2 years old and the trim only had a 14 day warranty as it was classed as an accessory. I called Audi, VW and Seat who all said their trim came wit a 3 year warranty, although Audi UK volunteered that the trim was easily discoloured and to be careful what you used to clean it. Back to Skoda Tech to inform them that others in the VW group had a 3 year warranty - so Skoda changed their mind and agreed the trim was under warranty but external factors......We can not help you. The chrome is part of the window and as a good will gesture Skoda UK agreed to pay a contribution to having the trim replaced (I still would have to pay well over £1000) or painted. I did not like either of these options. As a last resort as I thought I could not make it any worse I tried rubbing the chrome down with a premium pre-wax cleaner a couple of times then waxing over it. To my amazement the milk effect that the dealer could not remove and was deemed unrepairable was now 99% gone - and almost 2 years later is still gone! I hope this helps
  6. My Superb has just been in to dealers with the same problem, although it only beeped three times. Solution was a replacement (RHS I think) electric boot strut. I would guess if you have more beeps you will need the other side replaced. Hope this helps.
  7. Ok I think I have a direct link working now after many attempts
  8. Dobbey, I found hard to tell from your video if the noise was the same as mine so I have tried to attach a video of my cars start up. You should notice a noticeable difference in engine noise at about 35 sec. If there is a competition of most boring video posted we should do very well! http://s1146.beta.photobucket.com/user/stevenwwilson/media/M4V04564_zps72bc1c1d.mp4.html
  9. Yes, my V6 rattles for the first 30 seconds to 1 min on a cold start too. I think the noise comes from the manifold / engine but not sure it is really a rattle, just a different noise as the car warms up. Merry Christmas too.
  10. I took my Superb in for an oil change few days ago at Graeme P. Chatham Skoda Dunfermline, where I had bought the car from. When I collected the car they had replaced the main Skoda badges (old ones were faulty?) and updated the ECU under warranty all without me asking! I was quite impressed. New badges look the same as old ones but a little shinier.
  11. Bump! Is there really no other way to change folders other than to shout at the thing?
  12. Hi, I am getting a little fed up with using the voice comand "next folder" to skip to the next folder when playing from the SD card. Although the columbus gets the command right most of the time, it does struggle when my 2 year old son repeats "next folder" after me or if my wife is talking! Is there another way to select the next folder, without crashing the car while prodding at the touchscreen to scroll through all the folders?
  13. Hi, I got the "Net in Boot" option for my Estate - it is slightly different for the Saloon. It is on page 81 of this manual. https://mediaportal.skoda-auto.com/resource/documentation/manuals/en/Superb/05-2012/Manual/B6_Superb_OwnersManual.pdf I have found the two vertical nets very useful but the one to go over the boot floor is pants. It is too tight to put anything under but sits just above the boot floor so fails to stop folders, books, etc from sliding.
  14. You can't really see it, but if you look closely you can see the edge - more so when the car is dirty (like in the photo) as the dirt collects on the edge of the plastic.
  15. It was very easy, took about 10 min. Getting it centred took a couple of attempts - get it wrong just peel off and try again. Just use loads of soapy water under the plastic which lets you slide it into position then squeegee the water and bubbles out, let it dry off and job done.
