Fitted pioneer head unit. Just waiting on trim to finish the installation.

Golfchick has moved on to a mk2. I am sticking with my mk1 and interested in upgrading to a double din So pictures/set ups please!

Cleaned and very happy with new headlamps and fog lamp grilles

Finally, an update required, fog lamp grilles painted and projector headlamps fitted. Bought spare headlamps, stripped them. Painted chrome surrounds black and ended up painting chrome reflectors as the chrome came off just cleaning them! Used Halfords chrome spray paint, was unsure to start with but I like the final look, I hope it stands up to the heat inside the lamp etc. Fitted projectors with black surrounds, new hid kit, sidelights and main beam bulbs to try and match the light/colour output. Fitting and setting up Sidelights Dipped beam Beam pattern I am very pleased with how they look and they are really effective after driving in the dark this evening.

Be cool getting them together, but bit of a nightmare choosing a location! Would be interested for sure.

Thanks. I think they really suit the car too. I haven't let the wheels get that dirty yet! They do seem to clean up easily and well since applying the wheel armour. Running them through the winter etc will be the real test!

Marathon cleaning session!

New front pads and discs fitted today. Wheels cleaned and treated with Gtechniq C5 wheel armour!! Rear pads and discs being replaced next week.

Finally got the polish out!

Washed, clay bar and washed again!

Refurbished wheels back today! And fitted, very pleased with how they look.

Refurbished wheels fitted today!

Wheels went off to be refurbed today. Took the chance to clean up calipers and repaint. After seeing some recent posts I took the chance to clean the sills and inspect for any signs of rust, couple of bits need touching in from stone chips but nothing serious which was a relief. My sympathy with those who are dealing with much worse. Confirmed I need pads and discs front and rear!

A 53 plate NSF will be riveted on I'm afraid, you can order the rivets from Skoda and a pop rivet gun with right end on eBay. I did this job very recently with my OH, once it unlocked close to the time I left the doors unlocked rather than risk a jam. A lot of people will say remove the bottom three screws from the door card just in case it does jam closed.

I have had the number plate for a few years now, bought it through eBay, transferred it on to the SE that I bought a few months ago. Cheers Phil.

Thanks guys Not decided on wheel colour yet. Refurb and standard would look good, but is it a bit boring. I don't want to end up feeling I have gone to dark with the wrong choice of grey/anthracite/gunmetal options. Will wait until Easter hols and get them done then I think.

Leon splitter fitted today, very happy with new badge, painted badge, painted grille and splitter all together.

Sealed all 4 doors today, just because I know it needs doing at some point. So discovered that at least 3 doors have had work done before because the back of the pop rivets have been left in the doors and could been seen through the drain holes! Why would you have the membrane panels off and not bother to remove the old rivets from the bottom of the door! Now I know they are there it is very annoying!! Rant over
