  1. Would you know the part number for the pick up/strainer pipe?
  2. No I haven't turned the engine on since, I've even gone to the extreme of having the car towed up onto my 2nd drive as its level
  3. Ah rite ok, I spoke to a technician today and he said a yellow light meant low oil and red light was low oil pressure and that sensors were common to go on 01-05 models? I'm guessing this is now not the case. Either way then if I remove the sump to get to the strainer I'm gonna have to replace the oil so I might answer do a flush at the same time? By doing this am I risking damaging the engine because am I right in saying u have to run the engine for aprox 5mins when the flush is in?
  4. Hi all, Can anybody help me in locating the Oil Level Sensor please on a Octavia vRS 2003 model? Pics would be very useful. I'm replacing this 1st as an elimination process as my oil light decided to start flashing red at me yesterday :-( . If this works BINGO, if not I shall then either consider an engine flush or a replacement oil strainer? Any ideas on what to do 1st would b appreciated however as I only paid pennies for a brand new sensor I'm Finking there's no harm in fitting it. Cheers
  5. DBP there definitely not what I saw or after!! Icotter they I think look like the ones!? Are them LED's on as sidelights? Are there any pictures with the headlights on?? Volvomeg this mk1 was definitely a right hand drive? What differences on the headlights is there on the left hand to a right hand drive? Cheers for the help
  6. Guy's, Was in my mates car driving home last night wen we both thought what the hell is that coming up behind us, we were both adament that it was a Audi. Nice peircing bright white lights with LED's inside the headlamp which curved up the side (like the new Audi S3's etc). To our astonishment when it drove past us it was a black mk1 Octi vRS. These did not look tacky or cheap in any way but looked as if the car came out the factory with them. I was then straight on my phone trying to find them on the net but have had no success. I did try and get my mate to catch him up but in a DS3 this wasn't going to happen Car was spotted in Rubery, Birmingham around 9pm Would anyone know of these or any places that could be selling these headlight units? Cheers
  7. Billy many thanks for that. It looks pretty straight forward tbh how ever there were no destructions in the box hence the reason i needed to see a pic. the only thing thats confusing me now is i have the following bits left over which i cannot see anywhere on your pics?? Im guessing as you have the same kit you would of had these too? 1) a small filter 2) 2 nuts, 3 washers and a black thing with 2 threads on each end? Would post pics but work comp wont allow me to plug my phone into the usb drives. Hope the above makes sense. Cheers
  8. Has anyone got any photo's of their ebay CAI's that they can post? Also trying to look for a fitting guide on here but the one I have found by searching 'bowders1' the pictures are no longer available? Can someone point me in the right direction please! Much appreciated
  9. For those that have the eBay jobbys can someone advise wot the diameter of the pipe is for the filter? Is the Jetex filter any good?
  10. Can people please give me their thoughts on CAI's which to look at which to avoid? Price isnt reall a issue. Thanks
  11. How much was the Jabbasport one? And I'm guessing that this could possibly work better with their maps than other induction kits?
  12. What CAI would people recommend then or shall I say what would compliment the FMDV008?
  13. Hi, Quite new to the site but just had a few questions. I have recently purchased the FMDV008 from Forge Motorsport, after having fitted it yesterday, along with replacing the 'Y' piece pipe which comes off the engine block as it had split, i havn't noticed a massive increase in noise or if any in fact compared that to the OEM part. I have watched video's on here and youtube of other Octavia's that have the 007 fitted and the noise is imense. Is this because those cars have a cold air feed/induction kit? At the moment! i am running everything standard, apart now from the fmdv008. Never owned a turbo car before as I sold my previous car which was a Fiesta ST with 227bhp before the nipper came along so boot space was needed. However im starting to get the 'bug' again!! Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks
