Hi thanks for the reply, both columbus units would freeze on start up, and either come to life half way through journey or not work for days I would lose sound or either left or right side speakers would work. And I lost my sat nav directions on my dash. the only radio that drained the battery was the one out of the seat when I connected it, do I need to up grade the module to get it to work with the seat radio ? Soto test the module I’ll need someone with vcds program/laptop to check it ? If I take the glove box out the module will be located there ?

Can anyone help and clear a few things up for me please, I’ve got a 2007 mk2 Octavia vrs, I’ve had a few problems with my Columbus rns510 I’ve had 2 radios and both have given up on myself so this time I’ve brought one out of a seat, however it didn’t work properly and killed the battery. Ive taken it too a audio / radio garage and been basically told the module is either faulty that’s why it didn’t work with the other radios, and for it too work with this seat radio I’ll need the module out of the same car the radio came out of is this true ? also where is the module located? how can I test the module works ? Can anyone help please

I went here like i did before it was changed to bristol street motors, and i wasnt impressed i wanted loads doing to big blu and asked for a courtesy car and got told it was a £13.50 charge per day for having the courtesy car at that point while picking my jaw up off the floor,(never been charged before) i was also told that some of the stuff i needed to go back in stages to get work completed, that they didnt have the staff to complete the car in one go.his attuide stunk wasnt really helpfull and didnt care at that point i said thank you and no thanks. i went to VASTEC thats just around the corner got big blu booked in got a (free)courtesy car granted i had to wait a week to get booked in, but i was in no rush, and spent my £3600 there instead and i would never go back to BSM. ive made reviews on the other link before it changed hands and never had problems, granted he could of been having a bad day however the damage has been done and i will always use VASTEC from now on they have lost a customer of 5 years shame. but highly recommend VASTEC

right where to start im having problems with next door and guess what i hate to say but they aint english , i live in a mid terrace never hasselled next door over the years how ever yesterday was parking the car out side the house and was trying to get it next to the curb and next door came flying up my arse and almost hit me when i asked what was going on why you driving like a d**k he full on came for me now that dont bother me however i live in darlo work in kent the wife and two boys have to stay in darlo so i stood down . today no where to park other then outside his house so i did and the whole family came out kicking off at me when i was holding my 7 week old son so once again did nothing and all evening ive had them sat out side house talking /shouting every night they make so much noise and the kids are runing around till early hours of morning keeping my two up and now i feel cause ive stood down once to many they see me as a easy target how do i move on or get help cause i work away i feel more for family can anyone help

I do approx 660 to 700 miles a week and I'm using between 250 and 400 mm a week I'm using longlife edge oil think its castrol but it is the edge one I get mayo in oil cap after short runs been pressure tested never use water or over heats I honestly think its how the engine was treated at new and that's why there's so much difference between cars mines a 07 plate tfsi aswell mate

32 big blue is 07 tfsi and insurance is 350 due to amount of no claims and no points at moment lo

Hmmm well the vrs would have to get converted for next seasons BTCC and to buy pondering hmmmmm vauxhall vxr8 bathhurst for daily driving (plus i do know the wife is too small to reach the peddles lol) and it woud have too be the car off gone in 60 secs oh whats its name anyone ?

She a petrol tfsi on a 07 plate ive had her a year(almost) when i first got it i never had mayo then over the last month its gone from little specs and now my cap is covered on any type of run there is no overheating , excessive smoke coolant loss the only tell is the filler cap i carnt afford to wait till it completly goes so the other option is to change it now im gutted shes warmed up cooled down or the other option is to get rid

As above really im after a approx price ? Basically spotted a bit of mayo under my filler cap and been keeping an eye on it and its been getting worst as iv been doing 660 miles on motor way a week. iv not used any extra oil (normally use between 1and 200 ml of oil per trip ) or water and temp wise just sits at 90 all day long however iv been to 2 different SKODA garages at differnt ends of the country and they have both said the same that my head gasket needs replacing that there should be no mayo under the filler cap what so ever big blue is having a compression test on monday afternoon but ive been told that might not even show anything . is there any problems with having the gasket done ? is there anything else i should do at the same time ? do i need to change anything while engine is in bits ? and how much has it all cost ? anyhelp is greatly received rob + big blue

i dont know iv had a st and vxr and never had this before . when i asked former owner he aslo said it used a bit of oil and he just kept it topped up .

im currently covering about 650 going from darlo to kent return and using between 100/200 ml of oil with fuel its expensive lol .thats not driving like a tit just a steady pace with cc

hi two years ago i was in the same postion and just wanted a slr cheap of course i read loads about cameras looking on fleebay the works and cause i was starting up my collection it was all going to be second hand i asked loads of people and everyone had a different say then i thought sod it off ebay i brought a fujifilm s5pro it had a low shutter count and uses nikon lens brought different of lenses and memory cards the works some people on here will cringe for me buying that camera lol. however its done me proud ive got some class phots of family and of dogs even artists ones and to start with it i cannot complain what so ever i sold the body in march on ebay when i brought my new nikon D7000 and boy i love that camera lol what im trying to say i got a good starting collection for about 300 quid all from shopping around on ebay granted its not a top of range body but it started me off on the right foot and i wouldnt knock it and im slowly up grading my collection and like everything it aint cheap but i enjoy it lol.

hello everyone Been doing a lot of driving just lately mostly motorway however been using a bit of oil and being a good boy and keeping a eye on my oil level iv noticed a bit of mayo on filler cap its only a little bit but it still there nothing in my water just on cap does this mean some thing is on its way out ? should i get it to garage asap ? cheers for help rob

Big Blue had MOT this week and passed with no worrys or advisories so proud ha . but had another great service at Msb the staff are great another great service with no hassels or problems 10/10 again
