Just a quick heads up to any Colour Edition owners that haven't check their spare wheels yet and found its missing the correct tool to remove the wheel nut covers, just checked mine and its missing. A quick search of eBay found them at just over 2 quid, so ordered one off there rather than heading to the dealers.

1.2 TSI owners look here please
YorkshirePudding replied to Snowman89's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Just tried it with ours, a 105 TSI, and there's a little bit of a chattering noise that does seem to come from the wastegate as the revs drop. Not very pronounced and I had to listen for it and not loud enough for me to worry about it. -
I use the genuine Skoda cross bars, I just make sure the roof is clean befire fitting. Only problems I've had is a slight water leak on the front door that I put down to the outer door seal being pushed back by the clamps and the feet leaving marks in the roof (that go after a few days) when the rack has been on for a week or so.

The Monte, like the VRS, is not type approved for a tow bar so you can't legally fit one. -
Big Breakfast Meet, Malton 14th Oct 2012
YorkshirePudding replied to YorkshirePudding's topic in Yorkshire & Humber
A nice way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday morning. Maybe for the next one we could organise a time and a place to meet up before heading into Malton? Skinnyman, nice 106 btw, noticed you leaving. -

Forecast for tomorrow is fine but cool, should be a good do. -
He said to use a 7 way bypass relay fed off fused feed off the back of num 47 on your fuse box.

My neighbour fits towbars, I'll ask him today. No they're not, some cars even need to go back to the dealer for a software update after having one fitted.

Turn your light off and see if the battery holds it's charge.

What did you do to your Skoda today?
YorkshirePudding replied to RobClubley's topic in General Automotive Chat
Due to it having a flat battery, I had to phone up the RAC to get it started. Cooling fan stuck on so it looks like I will be phoning them tomorrow as well. -

Cleaned the car and charged up the batteries for the camera, see you all in the morning. -
Thanks for the comments on the Escort pic, What post processing are you doing as even jpegs from a DSLR will still need a bit of work to get the best out of them. Hope you don't mind but I've had a quick play with this one, IMG_6310 by J.F.T, on Flickr Nothing fancy just a mess with levels and a bit of a crop. The Exif data in the pic shows you had a shutter speed of 800th/sec, try using 125/250th/sec for panning to get some blur, both of those Escort pics I posted the shutter speed was set at 90th/sec. Relax, be smooth, don't snatch at your shutter release and don't stop panning when you take the picture.

The only advice I can give is get out there and practice, then practice some more. I like to get up nice and close, with a wide angle and flash Not so slowly sideways by J.F.T, on Flickr Even using the onboard flash can get good results, just bringing out the highlights RAC 2008 by J.F.T, on Flickr What camera are you using btw, what manual options do you have? Sometimes it's better to prefocus and have the exposure set in manual. Learn the limits of your kit and see what works for you.
