Moved house recently and my allotted parking space is under a tree which gives out sap, pollen and the birds seem to love cr**ping all over the car. Anyone got any recommendations for car covers - model specific v generic (much cheaper) seems to be the basic choice.

Havent had any responses to earlier postings for 3 rear seats - wrote off the roomie at the end of May and the seats and parcel shelf were not in the car at the time. Now have a new roomie and 3 extra rear seats in pristine condition as they spent most of the time in the front room while our bikes occupied the rear of the car. No price just whoever wants them collects them from west London, otherwise its off to the dump and that would be a shame Give me a call on 07803 894671

I wrote off my 1 year old roomster SE DSG in Spain a couple of weeks ago. We had taken out the three rear seats and the parcel shelf to make room for our 2 bikes and camping gear. Anyone interested or need these for a reasonable sum?

Hi anyone got any relevant experience or tales with regard to boarding ferries with a roof box. we are off to Spain with Brittany Ferries and have decided that we may need to put the roof box on but when I look at the ticket vehicle height is limited to 1.83m and the Roomster according the manual is 1.61m - the differnce 22cm is not enough to allow for a roof box - when I spoke to the ferry operator they said that above 1.83m would cost an extra £56. Does anyone know whether and how they actually enforce this at the port? is it worth taking a flyer on it? Whilst on, I have the 1.2 automatic and the manual says it is a 6 speed - but on motorways the car cruises in D7, am I lucky in having 7 gears or is the manual wrong?! Anyone know

Hi got my new Roomster SE DSG yesterday. Looking through the manual it seems that there are options for day lighting and tourist light (headlight adjustment for the other side of the road) but the manual is not specific as to which models have this functionality - anyone know or is there a more detailed web based model specific manual? Big trip abroad coming up and will be taking out the rear seats and putting in 2 bikes - what model boot liner will avoid the inevitable oil and other dirt? I have seen on the web various priced roof bars from £25 upwards - anyone got any words of warning or advice? rood rails already fitted. Thanks
