  4. Thanks so much guys! Slightly off topic question though, what size is the bolt holding the wheel on? I'm looking at buying my lever and set of attachments?
  5. Hi Guys, So about a year ago, a lorry knocked a wall down in front of me, and I smashed my wheel into one of the blocks - see attached pic. I had the alloy repaired, but one year on, and the tyre is slowly deflating again. Anyone know what alloy, this is, so that I can have an google for spares? Or another question, on a 5 year old car, am I as well replacing with Steels? (New baby on the way....) Cheers, Stu

  9. Its weird coz, the guy said it was a major service, as its getting close to 20k miles. Skoda suggest that this should be £249? but the garage (Arnold Clark!!) is asking for £199.....
  10. Guys, Could anyone tell me 2 things? 1) Does servicing have to be done by a Skoda garage when in the warranty period? 2) How much should the first service cost? Cheers, Stuart p.s. I'm in Inverness!!
  11. Guys, Sorry, I should have explained. We were at a baby faire at the weekend, at were listening to a talk by a car seat safety rep. I think he was a recarro rep, but I'm not sure. He meantioned that ISOFIX in some german cars, slides (controlled) along a rail in the back side - I was just wondering seeing as our Skodas are VW, whether ours did. I'll have to investigate what the guy was meaning. As for the 1.6MPI - I absolutely love it - 18k of car for 12k is a good deal, as far as I'm concerned you can't beat it. I just see so many Vrs's etc on here.... Cheers for the replies, Stuart
  12. Hey guys, I have a 2011 11 plate octavia estate (1.6 MPI - Sorry). What i was wondering, is if anyone know s whether the ISOFIX system detaches on side-impact to allow the child NOT to be hit by the offending vehicle/bodywork etc. Anyhelp would be appreciated, Stuart
