Weird noise when turning right
bunnerz4 replied to bunnerz4's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
I will mention it to the garage, thanks! -
Hello all, Not sure if this is a wheel bearing problem but my 04 octavia is making a whirring / whining noise whilst cornering right especially on round abouts and on a long trip. I also notice the noise whilst pulling away for the first time when the car has been parked, but just for a second, then it goes quiet. Any ideas??

Hello all, Just purchased an Octavia TDI, the previous owner had fitted Autogrip F107 tyres, they are lethal in the wet!! Rounded a corner at a very mderate pace and got severe under steer. Not good with my family in the car!!! Tried a hill start and got wheel spin, it was like driving on ice! Thought they were a bit suspect earlier in the week as i was getting alot of wallowing on corners. These tyres are shocking!! Can anyone recommend some decent midd range tyres as these ones will be coming off tomorrow! Thanks Bunnerz

Can anyone help, the drivers seat on my 04 plate octavia is killing my back. The support bit is still there and moves back and forth, it feels like the bottom of the seat back has collapsed? Has anyone else had this problem, if so how easy is it to rectify? Thanks

Thanks all problem solved, I disconnected the relay and additional wiring and all seems to be working fine. Fingers crossed!!

Morning Mannyo, the first thing I did was check the bulbs, its the fact that the relay is making a really loud buzzing that makes me suspect it's broken. Of course I could be completely wrong!

Hello all, I have just purchase an 04 octavia tdi which has developed a problem in that when I indicate they flash about 5 times a second. Whilst the indicators are turned on the bypass relay in the boot makes a loud buzzing noise. At first I thought it may be my indicator relay, but the hazard lights work at the correct tempo. I suspect my bypas relay in the boot is broken, would it be easier to replace the relay or remove the towbar wireing as I have no use for it?
