  1. http://www.fayre-square.com/offers/bogof-after-8pm-voucher/#titletext Offer on the website worth printing off.
  2. So when England host them will it be a can of White Lightning cider and a pack of fags? Racked my brain to think of a culturally significant item we could present and this is all I could think of.
  3. I will now add my comment. I do not like parking on the pavement, but there is no other option. we have up until this car parked fully on the road. several wing mirrors later this car is on the kerb. Also Dover seems to be inhabited with idiots who actually choose to walk down the middle of the road........even when there are no cars parked. The council could reduce the pavement width by removing the extra wide kerb on each side and replace with a modern kerbstone. The pavement is still wide enough and the road then becomes wider. Mind you they will not do it as they are still trying to fill all the huge potholes that litter the county. Parking is so bad that when I get in from work I struggle to park. Usually due to the number of transit vans whose drivers seem to finish work at 4pm. If all the works vans were left at work then the problem would reduce. It is a street of terraced houses. Many own a car then bring the works van home also Grrr it really annoys. And before anyone comments that we have two cars , one is in the garage that we rent further up the road. And....he nearly drove past that space, but I said the park assist will put the car in there
  4. swmbo has a little 1.2 Fabia so no need for the basic. Unless we sell mine and I get a toy
  5. No worries Bert, it happens to te best of us every now and again ;-)
  6. Now you have spent the evening in her company you have the perfect reason to ask her where you stand. She may have reconsidered the situation with the other guy after you let her know you are interested. Ask her! What is the worst that can happen? You already think she is seeing someone else, if that has changed and you do not ask her now you may miss your chance.
  7. I decided a few years ago that I was drinking too much caffeine in work. I now drink peppermint tea with a hint of liquorice, got enough taste and if I forget to drink it I still enjoy it cold. No worries about someone pinching your milk either.
  8. My Fabia is called Bostick due to number plate reading GLUUY. Evo sounded a bit pretentious and uhu just didn't stick.
  9. But we didn't see you on the side of the road! You must have gone by the time we got kicked out.
  10. I personally find that some people are really rude to the "greeters"They are just trying to earn a living. Usually a bit of banter with these guys is fun. Some of them in Calis just stop us to say Hi and chat about the football, others pester every time for our custom. I try to be jokey with them as we keep walking. There is usually someone else for them to flatter walking along. If you go the the markets, Monday Hisoranu, (got a lovely beach towel for about£7.50)Tuesday fethiye, Sunday in Gochek or Calis do not let the traders shake your hand, they will hold on for eternity The markets are all pretty much the same. Gochek is a boat trip and not very big market, but the boats in the marina........boy there is some big money there! Hope you get a decent exchange rate, we were getting 2.80-2.83 beginning of September. Word of warning do not use the man at the clothes shop in fethiye to exchange money. He will con you! There is a proper exchange office on the same road(same road as Migros supermarket) The watch shop is in Fethiye old town, but there are others in Hisoranu and Olu Deniz. Lunch in Fethiye, there is our fav Saray opposite Migros supermarket or the fish market in the old town. Buy your fish in the centre then one of the restaurants around the stalls will cook and serve with salad and bread for about five lira. We saw a dolphin and turtle in the bay when we were there. Have a wonderful time, my tan is fading now and I am very jealous.
  11. For any of you who send letters on a regular basis here is how to save a little money on your postage. Stamps marked first class can be purchased now at 46p and used when the postage goes up to 60p. Saving you 14p per letter. On top of this if you purchase from superdrug a book of 12 first class will only cost you £5.24 per book = 43.66p per letter. I believe they will let you buy up to 6 books per transaction.
