  7. Hi not sure if you are supposed to check oil with the engine hot or cold ? :wonder: And what type of oil are people using for both normal and variable services , brand grade etc ? :wonder:
  8. Can`t say i have had the same problem but i know that some different fuel stations do have slightly different size nozzles on the hoses , maybe this might explain your problem
  9. Got get some pics on hear of your ongoing conversion would love to see it :p
  10. ok my model has the silver washer covers and daytime running lights so this should have the cable then yes ? :wonder:
  11. i know its probably an obvious answer but thought i would see if anyone has any experience of it does modifying your superb affect the warrenty , thinking about lowering it ,different wheels etc having not owned a car with warrenty before .
  12. Just noticed another superb today which had a sharksfin aerial along with another 12 inch traditonal aerial coming out of the same sharksfin aerial , i thought the radio aerial was on the rear screen as it has the vertical lines on the glass had a close look at mine and it has no facility for screwing in a different aerial so it must be a completley different aerial maybe this might be the difference between gps or not
  13. many thanks for that price does`nt sound to bad

    thanks for the private message

  14. They all look great , but the rears look fantastic :p , where did you get them from ?, how much for a set ? and any detailed info on the resistors you had to use would be appreciated
  15. Hi philpix as i have the sharkfin aerial already installed does that mean i can just plug the columbus unit straight in :S i have seen the columbus unit available on ebay

  17. Hi has anyone retro fitted the sat nav unit into there superb , replacing the orignal bolero unit . just wondered if its a straight swap or are mods required , wiring ,gps aerial etc Not even got it yet and thinking about modifications will i ever be happy
  18. thanks again Gizmo68 , i have the ross-tech cable bought it about 5 years ago and its probably been a year or so since i have done an update as soon as i read your reply i remember seeing vcds on the start up screen , just so used to calling vag-com . I suppose quite alot can be done with the VCDS on the skoda ?, i was pretty limited what you could do on early 1998 Audi A8`s , i have had 5 in the past and loved them all but the 4.2 V8 was just getting silly to fill up with a 90 litre tank and a range of about 400 on a good day it was time to go to a oil burner so lets hope she lives up to the write ups
  19. Ah ok similar to what i did on my old audi then its just that i saw a front set of the lights on ebay Skoda Superb Bi Xenon Headlights with AFS Item number: 180680709637 thought these might have the ballasts inside the light assembly and thought that it may have the wiring loom already in the car and would just have exchange these for the origonal units and change the light switch to include one with height adjust :p starting bid £400 as for VCDS is this similar to VAG-com ? a system which i have and use for servicing audis , i believe this works on skodas as well but have not tried it before , but i know it supports OBD II :|
  20. Hi all just wondered if anybody knows if the xenon headlight assemblys are plug and play, or are more parts required. Just thinking about upgrading as i don`t believe the se spec that i just bought ,and collect on sunday has this option
  21. Many thanks for the answer will look into that cheers
