Hi pab567, Which part of the vin do you need please or is it simply the registration number of the car? Do you also need a full autoscan from VCDS to determine what modules etc. are fitted? Thank you, Gary

Hi Guys, Many thanks for the replies so far it's much appreciated. So to clarify things a bit further the car does not have a multifunction steering wheel and it also does not have a rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk to select various options (it does however have a rocker switch on the top of the same stalk for the variable intermittant wiper speed). It has the swing type infotainment system as shown in the picture earlier in the thread (thanks johnh510 for that as it shows nicely the steering wheel and also the dash with the temperature on display). I cannot see any option within the infotainment system that allows you to alter what shows up on the dash display and I'm not familiar with a maxidot display unless that's what is fitted to my wifes 2019 Octavia SEL. If the only way to obtain the optional information on the dash is to start upgrading various parts of the car (infotainment + other modules/components etc.) then no doubt it's going to be expensive in which case I won't bother but I will wait until someone can confirm what's possible. I do want to have a towbar fitted in the near future and know that the car did not come from the factory with towbar preparation so is that also likely to require some sort of upgrade to achieve the functionality? Hello, I have recently acquired a late 2016 S model estate and after reading the owners manual it seems that I cannot see anything on the dash display other than the outside temperature. The car doesn't have a temperature gauge like my wife's Octavia and also doesn't seem to allow me to change the display - I would like to see the mpg or engine temperature for example. Does anyone know if the dash display can be changed either by VCDS or other means please? Thank you in advance for your help on this as I feel I may have more queries to come. Gary
