thanks urrell, is ther only one hardwire kit type to get? or how do you know which one to buy? The dashcam is by OldShark, i know its not Nextbase or anything, but hey it was £35 on amazon Prime day lol The instructions for cam say 5V-1A for a hardwire kit

Hi, Sorry if this has been asked already, but i cant find it. We have a Yeti, couple of years old, (love it BTW). Just got our first dashcam. Tried using the cigrette socket, but the cam seems to be permanintely live, so the ignition doesnt start/stop cam recording. So i guess need to hard wire the dashcam. The dashcam just uses a small USB socket for power. Can anyone help with what harewire kit i need? and how to hide the wires? This is what ive gleamed form the web so far (rightly or wrongly) You use a piggyback connector on the rear windscreen wiper fuse, but ive no idea where to get the right one. Hide the cable behind the pillar cover but need to take the cover off (somehow) without blowing up the air bag lol Any help appreciated. Simon
