Just been out to check. Front end damp on the floor in almost a long line. Radiator?

Hi, no current over heating issues although only been driven a short time 30min or so. The light came on immediately upon start up due to low level. I’ve topped up again and will check in the morning but as you say, it is difficult with the weather. See some dampness near inside front of bumper so might be coming more from the front end rather than rear?

Hi My son’s 2015 citigo’s coolant level light came on so he topped it up. After driving 16 miles home and leaving it overnight, it has come on again. Checked bottle and level is down. No obvious leaks from pipes (feel dry). Any other possible conclusions? I’m seeing water pump crop up. Any simple tests to carry out to help determine (other than taking it in?). Thanks

Thanks Ray Might have a conversation about the drums as it seems a few posts have mentioned this as a possible. I don’t think they are pricey so would you recommend replacing for new ones (seeing as the shoes are new on)?

No to wheels. Exhaust is an interesting one and the garage said the front end of the exhaust is moving slightly (rubber mount) but not needing replacement. Noise is only from rear and only under braking. I suppose it could be hitting something as the weight shifts but the knocking seems speed determined.

Drums have been off and shoes replaced. Garage never mentioned that this was an issue (and were looking for it) but did say give it a few days to bed in. Would you suggest a new set of drums or can they be cleaned up?

Hi My son owns a 2015 Citigo Montecarlo and recently under braking a noise has started to occur (almost like someone knocking on a door) coming from the rear end. After taking it to the garage and slowly trying to eliminate options (drivers rear shocker leaking, drivers wheel bearing and just recently rear brake shoes) I am running out of possibilities and so are they. The garage have suggested that the noise will go once the brakes have bedded in (as they believe this was the cause) and it has only been a couple of days however the noise is louder now than prior to having the shoes fitted and more consistently happening when the brakes are applied. Has anyone experienced similar issues and can suggest any possible next steps to check. Need some help!

Thanks for that. I had seen this unit before on other websites but this link allows you to build the bundle with rear view module which I had not seen before and have it fitted. Brilliant!

I am looking to have a dashcam professionally wired into my son’s car but would welcome some advice from owners who have done this. I would like to be able to see forwards and backwards (with a parking mode when stationary). Some dashcams come with modules you can simply plug into the side of the dashcam that points backwards. Some come with additional units fitted to the rear window. As the car is small, would a unit pointing backwards from the main unit ‘see’ through the rear window OK or would I be better purchasing a separate unit? Interested in your thoughts as to what works and which units you have bought. Many thanks as always.

Hello, my son has a 2015 citigo montecarlo and has bought some mudflaps to fit to it. On closer inspection it looks like some holes need to be created in order to attach them. My issue when looking at his car is that there are no wheel liners on the rear so not sure whether they can be fitted or not or do they attach to the inner part of the rear bumper? I also noted whilst searching that having no liners can cause problems with rust on the inside and this is often seen via the fuel filler cap area having some bubbling of the paint work? I have looked at his car and he has exactly that. The car came with a 2 year warranty from Bristol Street Motors so hopefully it can be looked at by them? Any advice would be welcome as he’s a new driver and it’s his first car and I want to make sure it is safe and right for him.

I can’t even get the Garmin software to show the available maps for the device. It’s as though the device isn’t being read correctly (but it updated the firmware?!?). I’d pay but it won’t let me get that far into the process.

Hello everyone I have recently purchased my son a Citigo montecarlo for his first car and it comes with the PID system by Garmin. I have downloaded the software Garmin Fresh (and Navigon Fresh) and updated the firmware but for some reason it will not update the maps which are fairly out of date (2015 car). It is almost as though the computer doesn’t recognise the device (but it does because I can see it in the device menu). I know that I might not be able to get the very latest maps but any update would be a benefit (especially seeing as he is just starting out and learning his way around). Could anyone give me some pointers or perhaps instructions to try something different? Many Thanks in advance

Hi Thank you for your suggestions. I messed around with a few buttons on the phone and car and it has worked! I think I'd tried to connect them in the wrong order. You are right it does appear to have more features than my iPhone ever did. Result thanks again!

Will the fault codes rectify themselves with a new battery or recharged battery?

That's what I think but cannot even kick start it in its current position. Won't even turn over. Checked fuses also but they appear OK. im wondering whether (because it's been stuck in a garage for two weeks whilst the wheel was completed) they have left the auto light on or something. It must have worked fine as they drove it back to me?!?

Just got my car back from having an alloy refurbed. Saw another wheel looking low on air so pumped it up with an electric pressure pump via the 12v socket. Then came to reset the tyre pressure light by holding it down whilst starting it to find that the car wouldn't start, the dashboard flickered and made a horrible sound and a number of lights and errors suddenly appeared. Now car will not start and time appears to have reset itself. Any ideas what to check or try?

So my 1.8TSI engine in my 11 plate Superb was drinking oil at an alarming rate. Took it to the dealers and they told me (after diagnosis) that it needed Pistons, piston rings, timing chain and all that comes with taking my engine apart. Total cost £2500. Contacted Skoda UK who told me that this is not a common problem and that there is no recall for this. They supported with the payment and I finally ended up paying £700. Cannot help but notice that they have replaced my Pistons with 'modified' Pistons. This sounds to me like the original spec Pistons were not up to the job hence the modified versions were fitted and indirectly an admission of a manufacturing fault. Has anyone else experienced this and do you think I'd get anywhere by challenging this with Skoda UK?

Anyone had this before? Locking has been fine until today. Locked doors as usual and held keyfob to fold mirrors in. They didn't fold in. Unlocked it again and then tried once more to no avail. Tried one more time and the windows dropped instead (which is usually a sign that doors were unlocked to start with). I went round all doors and opened and closed them all in turn. Locked it again but the mirrors did not fold in AND the windows dropped about an inch (except the driver passenger which didn't move). Decided to try the other set of keys and tried it again. Didn't seem to work at first but then worked AND the mirrors folded in fine. Everything seems OK at the minute on both keyfobs, doors locked mirrors folded windows up but was wondering what might the issue and has anyone else experienced this. 11 plate superb elegance. Hi All, Does anyone know whether the columbus system allows you to play a dvd through it using the SD card slot instead of the dvd drive? I have some files currently in avi format (copies of ones I own) but it doesn't recognise those files. Does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks again in advance.
