  1. It's rubbish on my VRS Estate, constantly reports no signal when my other half's Kuga never loses signal in the same areas. Bizarrely seems better in the wet. There's a thread on here somewhere with data to back up the poor signal.
  2. Similar situation to me, car delivered with one key. Dealer had to program it (different dealer to the one I got the car from). They also needed the car in the garage with the key and said it could take a couple of hours as it's done over the internet apparently. Cost me £45 (which I got refunded).
  3. One, but you can enable the other in VCDS so it looks symmetrical :-)
  4. Yep, Boost Pressure sensor, mine went 2 weeks ago, rang Skoda assist, they came out within 30 minutes and confirmed it,the guy also arranged the hire car (Seat Leon SE diesel). It was at the dealers two days.
  5. I've had constant dropouts on my 15MY VRS Estate, has gotten a lot worse recently, especially in slightly built up areas. Car is now in the dealers with a faulty Boost Pressure Sensor that needs replacing and they've given me a Seat Leon SE to drive around in. Have had zero dropouts in it even in places where I constantly get no signal in my VRS. It's definitely a fault with the car, I've asked the dealer to look at it while it's in but I'm guessing they won't do much of an investigation, let alone fix it.
  6. I can now thankfully report that I have today received my outstanding money. It's taken 20 days and been a pain but hopefully now all sorted. VWFS have also taken their first payment of £2006 today. Still wsiting for my 2nd key but hopefully I can now get on with enjoying the car............
  7. Yeah I paid the original deposit of £250 when I ordered but it's taken 2 weeks to get that back!! VWFS havent yet taken any money (presumably due to the issues mentioned earlier in this thread) but they will eventually want the £2006., I'm now trying to get back the £306 difference between the £1700 "deposit" advertised when I signed up and the £2006 due to be taken.
  8. Here's my latest update, I've now managed to get my initial £250 deposit, paid when I ordered the car, refunded. Apparently Bob, who I first dealt with has left, and Denis, who I dealt with after Bob left has also now left. I'm now dealing with Ruth who's e-mail sig suggests she is a Busines Centre Relationship Manager. After days of ignoring my e-mails I was told on Friday that I would be getting my £306 back even though Bob and Denis had allegedly been very poor at record keeping and there was confusion over what I was owed they were refunding me to make a customer happy!!!! However, I didn't receive the refund on Friday so will wait till Monday to see if it turns up, I'm also still waiting for my second key :-( It's been a real frustration dealing with them as they simply would not give me an answer as to why they were stalling over refunding me the money they owed. The issue isn't helped by their offer stating it's a deposit which suggests you pay when you get the car when in reality it's advance rental payment that is collected (or not due to the issues with VW Finance taking payments) two weeks or so later.
  9. I should have added I've also been chasing a second key off them for two weeks. Mine was delivered with only one, apparently the valeters lost the other one!!! It's been like nailing jelly to the wall trying to get a replacement....
  10. As per my original post the first payment to VA Finance is around two weeks after pick up. But if it's like mine it will be £2006 with Simpsons meant to refund you the difference. So far they have refunded my £250 deposit today (2 weeks after delivery) but refuse to give me an answer on when I'll get the £306 difference between the £1700 deposit that was on offer when I ordered and the £2006 VA FINANCE are taking tomorrow. Heather in accounts promised a screenshot today as proof of my refunds but I'm still waiting. It's completely put me off wanting to do any future business with them as they appear to be being deliberately evasive.
  11. Love it :-) Looks great in Metal Grey Metallic, came from a Mk2 Lauren and Klement Estate with DSG. I;m missing having the the DSG.....this changing gears thing is tiresome ;-) Was hoping to get a 16MY but missed it by 2 weeks but it came with the Amundsen SatNav so a bit of a bonus. Just need to get the Hi-Beam Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition activated (posted in the VCDS forum..)
  12. Above says it really, willing to swap beer tokens for enabling Hi Beam Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition on my 15MY Octy VRS (plus any other useful mods....) :cocktail: Based in Wrexham but willing to travel within reason :-) Thx.
  13. Skodev, the way it was eventually explained to me when I took up the £1700 "deposit" offer (also through Bob who has left) was that I would need to pay £250 deposit to order my new build. I was then told by Denis that when I collected my car (I eventually got them to deliver it to my workplace, for free I'm hoping) it would register with VA Finance and 10~14 days later I would get confirmation from VA Finance of when they would take the £2006 initial rental fee. I queried the figure as the deal was for £1700 and was then told that before the date that the £2006 was taken from my account Simpsons would have refunded my initial £250 deposit plus the £306 difference that they were subsidising as part of the deal (hope that makes sense). I received my car on 1st July and then on 3rd July received £19.44 credit off them??? I've been chasing it up ever snce and have today been contacted by their Finaince team to say they acknowledge the £250 deposit and just need to confirm what other refunds are due and that they will credit me tomorrow. VA Finance are taking my advance rental fee on 16th July so I don't think you will pay anything on the day you pick your car up, it should be 10~14 days later. Time will tell I suppose but it's been quite frustrating trying to get an answer off them.
  14. Morning, anyone else who took the Simpsons PCH deal having issues getting money back off them? When ordering my VRS in April I paid a £250 deposit as the car needed to be built, I then found out that the £1700 advance rental advertised for the deal was being subsidised by them as VA Finance take £2006 as advance payment. I recieved the car on 1st July and am more than happy with it but after two weeks of asking I have still not received my "refund" of £556. I can't even get an answer off them as to when I am likely to receive it. It's seriously souring my opinion of them. Has anyone else who took the deal received their refund? If so how long did it take to get? thx
