  1. Had a similar issue with fuel lines rattling and it nearly drove me crazy (and certainly drove the workshop crazy over several visits !). They did find and sort it out in the end, but took a few attempts - manager demonstrated it was the fuel line by grabbing it and hanging on with the engine idling. Good luck...! Mark
  2. I had a DNA Greenline stage 1 several years ago on the 3.6 - made a massive difference to driveability. www.dnatuning.com Torque was the most notable difference - happily sits in 6th all day, but if you need to put your put down the power difference is VERY noticeable. Driving the remap car back to back with a standard is chalk and cheese.
  3. Powerd - I'm mystified - it is definitely a DNA tune and even more definitely a 3.6 V6 ! No change to the exhaust, and still a fantastically quiet cruiser (which is something a number of passengers have commented on). The additional torque is the most noticeable change - the car is just so much more "drive-able", especially at city speeds. I noted recently going up a long and fairly steep hill at 100km/h with 4 in the car it happily stayed in 6th - my previous Audi 3.0 always had to drop a gear or 2 half way up the same hill.
  4. Albervin - it's a "DNA Tuning" stage 1 map. They appear to have a dealer in Melbourne, so maybe a good excuse for a decent run ??!
  5. It's the same engine, just a different map. I had a re-map done on my 3.6 Superb, and the result is a completely different car - with the same power as the Passat, but more torque (385nm). The torque is the most noticeable difference - it will happily trundle around at 30mph in 5th gear, but then takes off like a rocket if you put your foot down...
  6. Buy the V6, then get it re-mapped. Great to drive, frighteningly quick - but then there are those brakes to sort that out...! And the re-map didn't do anything bad to the economy - in fact possibly a small improvement due to the extra torque.
  7. I had a similar problem - but what was happening in the end is that the Bolero shows that the setting is all front after using the bluetooth phone, even though the actual fader setting is correct. Next time it happens trying turning up the volume so you can be certain that there is no sound in the rear (this is the voice of someone who did visit the local dealership and look like an idiot !!)
  8. I recently replaced Conti with Toyo (Skoda dealers recommendation) - very impressed. Possibly slightly more noise (actually probably not so much more noise as a different sound), but grip well.
  9. This works on Bolero SD card too ! Thanks Mannyo - you're a legend ! I'd given up trying to get this working...
  10. I've had a Superb - in New Zealand - since late 2010, and it's been interesting to watch peoples reactions to the car, especially after having switched from an A6. The Skoda is more comfortable, spacious, and reliable (so far at least) - and after a re-map leaves the average A6 in its dust !. Over the last 6 - 9 months there are significantly more Skodas on the roads here, and I've had a number of people asking me about the car, & saying positive things about the brand. Having ventured into the cold South for the past couple of days I even saw a new Superb driving around Christchurch...
  11. Have had a similar problem with my V6 since new. Low forward speed, turning, stops when hitting the brakes, and annoyingly intermittent ! Dealer has had wheels off, brakes apart etc, and cannot find anything wrong...
  12. After 15 months in mine can only agree with the comments above. Power tailgate is useful (especially on wet days), and I wouldn't be without the paddle shifts - they are surprisingly useful even for suburban driving. A re-map made a real difference to the whole "feel" of the car, and I'd recommend to anyone - the low-end torque is great around town, and the extra power - let's just call it fun !
  13. Sorry for taking a while to reply - travelling and no time to keep an eye on the forum... The paperwork that came with the upgrade quotes power as 220kW and torque as 385Nm - having done around 4000km since the upgrade was done I still think it has made a significant difference to the driveability. The extra power is certainly noticeable if you put your foot down, but what I really appreciate is the torque, with the car happily cruising around town (and pulling away) at less than 1500RPM. The local dealer reckons that most of their new sales include the remap, and I can see why.
