  1. Isn't swapping the N75 valve the same as modding your chip? N75H should deliver +/- 1-3PSI over the rev range. Modding your chip does the same???? Or am I wrong in this? REMINDER: My engine is still stock. I certainly can believe that it can cause problems with modded engines
  2. That's advice No. 1 Don't get me wrong, I take your advice very serious. But either you read to leave it alone, or you read that it's the best and cheapest mod ever.
  3. Since I'm very interested in putting in a different N75 valve, I wanna know how it's possible that some people dont like it and some really like them. I have a Octavia vRS from 2003 (AUQ engine), Open air intake, stock ECU. Then there are 3 valves that would be interesting. N75J, N75H and ECS race valve After reading some forums (audi, vw, seat, ...) I found out that the N75H would be the most aggresive and best working on a stock 1.8T. Part number: 034 906 283 H Any thoughts?
  4. Well bought an air intake and fitted it. Sound awesome, not too loud and you can hear the turbo and diverter valve a lot more. Throttle response improved (or thats just in my head because of the noise) And all this for 156 euro -> 124GBP
  5. Does anyone have experience with this product (or similar): http://www.sandtler24.de/x-air-b3-filtersystem-mit-carbongehaeuse?c=411 Can't imagine that there will me more noise, since the filter is still enclosed. But apart from the noise, I assume that engine will be able to get a lot more air.
  6. Something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-1-8-20V-1998-2004-TURBO-BLUE-COLD-AIR-FILTER-INDUCTION-INTAKE-KIT-/220925893565?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3370359bbd except for the blue, should be able to find a black one, so it looks kind of OEM.
  7. Hi, I have a 2003 Octavia vRS estate and I want a little more noise from the engine. I've had a K&N cone filter om my previous car but that would be to much (start getting old I think) Anyone an idea? I love the pressure valve blowing off and with a bit more induction roar, I think the car will sound fantastic, but how? Greetings,
  8. And when it is a factory tow bar, then the PDC can be disabled?
  9. It's an 8E. Don't know if it's a factory towbar. He bought the car 2nd hand and the tow bar was already fitted. He has car car for about a year now and just noticed this problem after towing a trailer.
  10. Hey, A friend of mine has a 2004 Audi A4 with PDC. When connecting a trailer, the PDC doesn't turn off. Anyone know if the PDC an be disabled in group 69-Trailer?
  11. Would it be possible to just take of the intake manifold? Had a quick look, but seems to me that the exhaust manifold needs removing as well.
  12. Anyone ever cleaned an intake manifold of an ASZ engine? A lot of pictures can be found on the internet about clogged intakes, but never from an ASZ engine. Is this problem something not related to an ASZ? My car has done 80k and egr is closed since the last 10k. Could the intake manifold be clogged?
  13. Made a simple prototype for an oil catch can to see if it would work.
  14. Had some spare time this morning, so I decided to remove the cat. Replaced it with a 54mm straight pipe Not much increase in sound, but turbo seems to spool up quicker (or that's just in my head)
  15. Last Santa present from this year arrived Mounted it directly: Handling has quiet improved
