  1. Cheers Camlep. It didn't come up too bad, I thought. I really do think the Mii Sport looks just right in red
  2. Has my brother just hasn't had the time to detail my car, he gave me some stuff to do it myself. It will have to do for now.
  3. My previous Mii developed this issue and when I took it in and demonstrated it to the mechanic (clearly rolling his eyes and sighing) stated they all do it. Also demonstrated the gearbox rattle while stationary by engaging/disengaging the clutch in neutral. When I picked the car up I was told the clutch master cylinder was replaced (not convinced this happened!) and that the rattling gearbox was normal (service receptionist read off a A4 sheet from HQ). Both issues remained though. Touch wood, neither issue is apparent on my new Mii Sport which has it seems an updated gearbox at least. You now have to push down after pushing across before engaging reverse.
  4. Just looking at the SMMT figures for curiosity and no Skoda is in the top 10 so all that can be said is that in February less than 1436 Fabia's (new and old model?) were registered (Number 10 was the Fiat 500 @1436) Shocking for Fiat that they registered a total of 1941 cars in February of which 1436 were 500's. They rely on that more than Skoda do the Fabia.
  5. Up until 5 years ago I worked for a dealer that included Toyota, Nissan and Jaguar amongst other brands and have to say from personal experience that the decline in after sales service is pretty shocking. I can't comprehend how the dealer and/or SUK are demanding £60 from the OP. Jaguar, as you would expect for their high cost, were great for warranty work but the real surprise (I don't know if this has changed) was Toyota. No quibble or fights for warranty claims and would go beyond the call of duty e.g. they would always replace bulbs for free if needed, MK1 Yaris was recalled twice within months and both times they put £10 and then £20 of fuel in and left a bottle of wine and flowers on the passenger seat in every car. In the early days of the Aygo I also read about an owner that kept getting leaking seals and Toyota sent out a special team from Japan in a Land Cruiser to figure out the problem. From personal experience in the last couple of years dealers have been almost hostile in not wanting to help. The only thing I can think of is with a now hard haggling customer base and PCP becoming popular they can't afford to fix them! Delay/blag as much as possible until the warranty runs.
  6. Surprisingly on Drive The Deal a standard 3dr Polo GTi Manual is cheaper than a standard ST3 by over £500 after all manufacturer/dealer discounts are applied! I agree about the interior. Ford have been terrible with the dashboard design since the MK1 Focus, but seem to be toning it down slowly with the latest Focus and Mondeo. I have owned a ST2 and unfortunately it was a bad egg and had to sell back to the dealer after six months. Fantastic handling and ride/damping when "on it" but the town ride <30 MPH is akin to a horse drawn carriage. To be fair though my dads B-Max has very firm damping around town too.(I believe the ST has a uprated version of the B-Max rear suspension?)
  7. Just for comparison purposes, I'll give the figures for my deal on a Mii Sport 3dr: £500 deposit and 35x £132. About £1100 more with the extra deposit and monthly payments over the 3 years and also 0% APR, 3yrs servicing. I was also £600 in negative equity on my Mii Toca I px'd and which the dealer covered by upping the value. If I didn't have the px I reckon I could have reduced the £1100 above down to £600 difference.
  8. Will get some pics up when my brother gives it a proper wash. The marks left by the dealer valeters is particularly bad. I think they've used one of those silicone blades. My brother will cry when he sees it.
  9. I would say the first issue, if not severe, is just the characterful 3 cylinder unbalanced-ness! The second issue I think is what I would describe has a farting induction noise. Not sure where it comes from but maybe the plastic tubing on the top and left hand side of the engine as you stand in front of the car? Very noticeable at low speed.
  10. Picked up my Mii Sport earlier and thought I'd post a picture of the two electric window switches and confirm the gearbox now requires a push down to select. Will post some pictures in the picture thread if it is OK when my detailer brother has worked some magic on the car. Dealer prep was pretty poor this time.
  11. The same thing happened to me when I bought my 107 in 2007. Took the dealer ten days to sort it. They gave me a brand new Peugeot Partner MPV thing with a tank of fuel to get me work so didn't bother me or cost me anything.
  12. Actually I take that back slightly....An advert on Autotrader has a listing for a Toca but shows an iTech which does lose the rear sensors and electric/heated mirrors. Later Tocas do lose rear sensors and have a different design of alloy wheels and darker trim.
  13. A Peugeot dealer and my Seat dealer valued my 63 plate/6000 mile Mii Toca @ £5700. Both agreed to up that to £63xx to cover the negative equity but still bad! Just not worth buying a car outright now. I paid £6200 outright for a new Peugeot 107 Active in 2007 and got £3200 in PX five years later. That is Mini beating residuals not to be repeated.
  14. If my Mii order is accurate then it was built on 11th February and at the Grimsby docks on 22nd/23rd February. Should be possible.
  15. If it isn't built yet then it is bound to have them Mike. I can't see the factory switching between 1/2 switch versions on the assembly line! I think between Skoda/VW/Seat they have a lot of stock/showroom/pre reg cars built before the changes on 64 and probably even 15 plate cars. I have also noticed spec anomalies/changes with Seat, though. The early Toca models like mine have electric mirrors and rear sensors but later cars not. The Mango also seems to have had electric mirrors removed in later versions too.
  16. If you can get the VIN number you could check that online with one of the VIN decoder sites. I think the twin electric window switches were from week 45> which was first week of November last year?
  17. I've decided to go with the offer on a Mii Sport from my dealer and have confirmed it is a new build that was already in transit rather than a sourced stock car. Build date was February 11th so will have all the new features/updates. Hopefully I should pick it up in a week or so.
  18. I haven't done more than ~400 mile round trip in a day myself. Pretty good run in the old C1 having left at 4PM on a Friday afternoon and back at work at midnight on the dot having spent 2 hours in Newcastle. Two of my work colleagues did an insane round trip of Leicester-Barcelona to "rescue" a stranded artwork manager during the Iceland volcano ash storm a few years ago. They did it in 43 hours!
  19. PCP has definitely had a big affect on residual values. My Mii has lost ~£3,000 in just over a year I think. I bought a 107 back in 2007 for £6200 cash and after 5 years got £3200 in PX. I think everything lined up for me there.
  20. I don't know if Seat have more wiggle room but I've been offered this on a standard spec Mii Sport: Negative equity on my Mii Toca covered: ~£600 £380 discount £500 deposit, £130/month 0% PCP and 3 years servicing. Probably not the best deal ever, but not bad?
  21. I wouldn't take what Chris Evans has to say when he had this to say about the 108 with the 1.2 engine a few weeks after the Aygo: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/event/article-2719033/Chris-Evans-reviews-Peugeot-108-Allure-1-2-Top-Zut-allure-Women-wont-able-resist-gorgeous-Peugeot-108.html I test drove a 1.2 Allure 108 at the weekend and I think it was generally OK (I previously owned a 107 for 5 years). I really can't criticise it much because it was either broke or had a fatal flaw and couldn't concentrate. The accelerator was, to put it mildly, razor sharp. I tried numerous times to pull away smoothly like in my Mii and it just wouldn't have it. The other problem was price: £11,000 for a 3 door Allure 1.2. £180 a month! and no free servicing and quite high APR. The dealer did say they would cover my negative equity on the Mii (1 year in on PCP). They asked me to go to Seat and get some figures from there for a Mii Sport. It didn't go well for Peugeot...
  22. This is exactly what mine is doing except it is doing it 100% of the time now. I don't get why they say they replaced the clutch master cylinder but seem to have completely ignored the problem the car was in for! A service is due in February so I'll get the service receptionist to experience the problem themselves so there is no further confusion.
  23. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm a bit confused as to why the garage would only change the master/slave cylinder though. Even if this was faulty the garage seem to have completely ignored the obvious noise the clutch pedal makes engine on or off.
  24. You didn't do bad getting 36.47 litres in considering it is only a 35 litre tank! (plus filler neck)
  25. Hi all. I have had the clutch pedal problem in my Mii for a while and finally got the time to take it to the dealer to be looked at. I had no problems like others in having them accept there was something wrong (though the tech that checked it was a bit peeved about checking another one..) Anyway, having picked it up and being told they had changed the clutch master cylinder: 1, The click hasn't gone at all. 2, If the master cylinder was faulty, wouldn't I have had shift/selection problems? Apart from the very occasional difficulty of selecting first gear when stationary, I haven't had any problems; e.g. crunching. All I know is that the clicking is driving me crazy. Just thought I'd post my experience as I hadn't read that a master cylinder had been changed before? (if they really did change it)
