  2. Hi! I would like to clean my maf, but i cant find it on my 2.0 FSi (non turbo) octavia 2. Usually they are between the air filter and throttle body, but theres only the air temeperauture sensor!? Any ideás?
  3. Got it figured how to remove it for cleaning! If somebody else than me wonders yep its watercooled(coolant) hoses go into it and some coolant can drain out if you don´t put some clamps on the hoses before removing them!
  4. Well so i understood according to this http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_322.pdf
  5. Is here no one that knows if it even can be done??? In the 2.0fsi ithe egr is watercooled does this cause any problems??

  7. Engine mounts were checked and they claimed at the service there is no problems with them. What i also have noticed is that the revcounter jerks when when the car jerks.
  8. Hi! Have somebody cleaned a EGR-valve in a 2.0 fsi. Sounds like a straight forward job, but would be nice if there were a picture thread of how to do it or a DIY?
  9. Hi! My friends 1998 octavia has this really annoying problem with the interior dome light! When you shut the door its supposed the go off( after a while), but it wont! When you then turn the ignition on it goes out for a sec but comes straight back on. Sometimes it does work as it should but then while driving it can suddenly come back on which is very annoying when it is as dark out as now! Thanks for your help!
  10. HI! I have this weird problem with my car! When I normally start my car its fine, it starts rapidly and direct as i should, but if I leave the power on( radio, interior lighting and xenons will be on)and run in to get something I for an example forgot the car battery is dead or starts just and just. Is my car battery bad or is it something else, I just think it´s weird that the car starts so good if I start it directly. I think the battery is original and the car is from 2006 so... Thanks!
  11. HI! I have this very annoying problem in my car that only seems to get worse. In any gear (1-5), when I let off the gas pedal quickly (don't feather it / slowly let off), the car kind of "bucks" back and forth very noticeably. It's most aggressive in 1st gear and least (but still noticeable) in 5th gear. At the same time, if I barely press on the gas pedal (as in stop and go traffic) I get a similar reaction. Same thing happens after a gear change (I know how to change gears so don't give me that "you have to learn how to change gears properly"). The weird thing is that sometimes this problem doesn't occur at all sometimes a little and sometimes like today it was so annoying i would have rather taken the bus than drive home. A little thing that I noticed today was that even when not in gear and clutch depressed the car jerks a bit when you lift the rpms from idle to 1100rpm . Any help or ideas! Thanks again guys!
  12. Did change the bulp! It was after all a quite easy job (without long nose pliers it would be impossible)!
