  1. Noises have increased from the DMF (knocking noise). Has anyone bought the above SMF kit before? It's been reduced, so tempted to take a chance.
  2. What do you think guys? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280777628559?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_2063wt_1185 Thinking of getting it and keeping it till the flywheel goes on my 2007 1.9 tdi pd.
  3. I was going to post the same, my 1.9tdi makes a noise after turning the engine off. Sounds like some kind of pump priming itself. Can anyone shed any light? I heard its something to do with a cooling fan, but the sound makes me think its something else.....
  4. Thanks for the link, much appreciated. Was your Caddy a Taxi?
  5. Hi, this is a question for all the taxi drivers especially those that drive a 1.9 tdi PD (no DPF); How long are your oil change intervals? I previously owned a Honda Accord 2.2 iCTDI, on which I used to do an oil/filter change every 6k miles (using 5w30 semi synthetic Valvoline Durablend). However, with these VW/Skoda engines having longer intervals between services, I'm quite unsure of what to do. My engine requires oil meeting 507.00 specification, it would work out very expensive (nearly £50 for 4 litres!) to carry out the oil/filter change every 6k miles.
  6. OK I've managed to locate the rattle, it's coming from the front armrest! I'm guessing it's something to do with the handbrake? Anyone know how to inspect it?
  7. Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help regarding a very awkward rattle I have coming from inside the car whilst driving. The noise seems to be either coming from the front or rear passenger seat area or maybe even the nsr door, and it sounds like two pieces of metal clanging together, it can get very irritating at times and I want to get it sorted. Has anyone had this problem here? How did you fix it? I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could help me out. Thanks.
